Spike in visits: Direct & other traffic

I have a question: for almost two months we have had a significant increase in "direct and other traffic" to our shop. It looks like this: one day a few visits (as it has been so far), the next day a jump to over 100, a few visits, over 100 visits, a few visits, over 100 visits - a sine wave. These are visits to the shop, without going to a specific list. Hence the conclusion that these are "bad bots". Consequently, conversions are affected, sales are down - can anything be done about this? Thank you in advance for any suggestions and advice.

Does your stats page show where the direct & other traffic is coming from?

It does not show. Out of 600 of these visits about the last week - only 3 have the source shown. As I wrote in the description of the situation: the graph looks like a sinusoid, it is a regularly repeated increase (every other day) of visits from an unknown source.

Etsy takes out the bot views.

@FallenAngelBrass Etsy is supposed to remove the bot views but they don't always do it in a timely manner.
