Unable to add a listing in new format

I have been unable to add a new item to my shop because after I've entered my data, I get error messages about shipping or photos or unsaved changes.  Every time I try to publish, it gives me an error, I go to fix it and my photos get wiped out.  Reloaded photos five times!  Confirmed my shipping policy at least 5 times.  I gave up.  The format isn't as simple as the old one, but I can deal with it.  I do like the drag and drop for photos, but if I can't publish anything, what good is it.  Etsy needs to fix this ASAP!  

Any suggestions or clues to what I'm doing wrong?

Duplicate an existing listing and then edit. That works for me.

I was able to add a listing using the old format, but when I went to my home page, I saw that the four previous attempts I made on the new format had

published, so I assume I was charged for those listings too!  Yes, I did think of duplicating an old listing.  Glad to know it works.  Thanks!

@stoneblissdesigns: Also, are you experiencing this using an Etsy app (on which operating system) or via mobile browser or desktop browser (which browser and operating system)? It makes a difference as to possible causes and potential solutions, otherwise we have to guess.

I was adding a listing directly on the website on my Mac, OS Ventura 13.3.1.  

See my reply above.  I appears my previous attempts went through but it never showed as published.
