Unable to Share to Facebook

For several days now, the Share to Facebook function in the Marketing tool has not worked.  Is this a systemwide problem?

I have not changed the settings and it acts like it should be working. . .

I am having the same problem.  Can't share to Facebook!

Etsy have resolved this issue now, and I am back up and able to share to Facebook again.  Thank you Etsy!

I am having the same problem and have been for weeks now. Despite contacting Customer Support and creating 3 different service requests, nothing has been resolved at all. And now starting a couple of days ago, I can no longer share my five star ratings and feedback to Facebook either. What the heck is going on?  FaycarrieQAOT

Thank you for sharing the information. There are two problems. One is sharing listings to Facebook. The other is sharing five star feedback via the Marketing/Social Media links. Try to do that and it just hangs. This should be a technical support resolution priority.

 I'd assume technical supports main priority right now is the Singapore sellers issue where the sellers are having thousands of additional dollars accidentally deducted from their accounts by Etsy.   Etsy is currently attending to this issue.  So it is likely glitches like this one with social media will take some additional time to resolve and patience will be needed.

I've found it beneficial to post items to social media without using Etsy's social media tools by pasting a a link to my Etsy shop under the image. This helps because other sellers items are not highlighted when engaged audiences click on the link.

This issue has been going on for weeks now and no updates or acknowledgment from Etsy that there is an issue.  This on the heels of them raising our rates. . . Very frustrating.

P.S.  I have been posting links as a stop-gap measure and I copied and pasted a recent 5-Star review.  So, I'm making it work, but the Facebook sharing from the Marketing tool is one of my favorite Etsy features.

There have been too many glitches between Etsy and Facebook over the years - anyone remember the "Lady in the white dress" ?

It's just not worth the effort any more.  I suggest you get used to viewing your item page, as a Buyer would, and copy-paste the URL directly to your FB page. Done.
