I've been selling on Etsy for about 3 months now but I've never been able to receive any deposits.
Since the beginning, I was never able to verify my bank account because of a name mismatch. This is probably due to the bank account being a joint account.
My account was suspended due to a maximum number of bank verification attempts.
Since then, I've made a new bank account with only my name and and verified it.
Once verified, I've tried receiving deposits and they've failed for some reason. I've checked with the bank and they said that my account is all good to receive and send funds. I was then asked by the app to update my bank info so I did. Now deposit has failed and verification has failed.
I've asked to speak to a specialist twice in reply to the email of support telling me that it has failed.
Is there anyway I can get a specialist regarding this matter to help me? I'd really like to continue selling and I don't want to just keep selling if I cannot receive my funds.

A specialist emailed me after I shared my problem in the live chat with support.
Specialist said that their payment partner couldn't accept the BSB that I have. I was told a BSB that they could accept. This got me thinking, the bank account that I tried to get deposits in was made via online (NetBank). They usually give an assigned BSB number associated only with online. I went into a physical bank branch and asked to make an account with them. That was made with the BSB of that bank branch. Few days after verification, the deposit made it into my account.
TL;DR
Make sure your bank account has a BSB number that is tied to a physical branch. Etsy's payment partner does not accept accounts with BSB numbers created online.
What is your location? Answers to this depend on your location.
I assume you are not in the US.
All forms of name must match. That includes your name with which you started your shop along with the full legal name of your bank account and any tax information that may be required.
If anything is not consistent in form of name, the mismatch grinds everything to a halt.

Have you contacted Etsy by email using Contact us under Help? This is something that Chat cannot help with beyond referring to a specialist. You can give Etsy your phone number to see if they can contact you by phone.

At first, if was verified correctly. Then when the deposit was returned to the shop account, I was told to update the bank details. Once I did that, verification failed. I've tried everything I could think of. They would just give me a copy and paste when I asked to be forwarded to a specialist.
My address isn't a P.O box. Everything is absolutely correct. I think I just really need a specialist instead of the normal support people to be able to help me.

You need to reply to the copy and paste response saying you still need help. If you don't reply the matter gets closed.
Have you tried depositing any money since the first attempt as perhaps it is verified which is why you can't proceed?
Check your details again in Shop Manager - Finances - Legal & Tax Information - check your name is exactly how it is on the bank account. If it is different, amend it and submit it.
I hope it gets fixed soon.
I've replied with that multiple times now, yet I still get the same kind of response.
Even if I tried depositing since the first attempt, if would still fail.
Everything is indeed correct. I don't know what to do at this point. I just wish the customer service was better. Because if we make money then they also do right?

I have read many times that accounts are being coded incorrectly. Example instead of a checking account it gets coded as a savings account and that stops the deposit. Hope you get it sorted.
