[URGENT] Supevted hacking attempt

Jump to solution

I have two separate accounts. On my other one I tried to log in this morning and Etsy said they sent a 6 digit code to a phone number. The phone number is not mine, in fact it's an American number and I'm in the Netherlands.

I suspect this is an attempt to hack my account. How someone managed to set my 2FA with their phone number is a mystery.

I need urgent help with the issue as I am effectively locked out of my account.

when you set up 2fA, you had 10 codes to use in an emergency, in case you lost your phone, or something like this happened

use one of those codes to log in, reset everything,
and log the other person out (It's below where you set up 2FA)

.... this is a forum for sellers, not etsy support
