my name is Omar and I’m the owner of the SiculaMaiolica shop. Since Friday, June 28, I opened an urgent request because my store’s default language is still set to Italian, even though 100% of my listings and shop content are written in English manually.
Here’s what’s happening:
I get zero organic traffic
My listings don’t show up in English search results
The algorithm treats all my English content as a secondary translation, which kills my visibility
I’ve contacted Etsy more than 10 times (via ticket, email, Twitter), but I’ve received no real help.
I was told that only the Etsy technical team can change the default language from the backend, but everything is still stuck.
My shop is basically blocked and I’m losing valuable time.
I kindly ask if any Community Makers or moderators can help escalate this to the correct support team.
I’d be very grateful for any advice or support.

You have to change the language yourself. Etsy will not do it for you.

I’ve already spoken with Etsy Support and I was told that only Etsy staff can change the default language from the backend.
I manually translated 100% of my listings and shop content into English, but Etsy still treats Italian as the main language, which is killing my visibility.
