URGENT: Etsy Ads Issue Not Resolved – Views Still Near Zero After Reset

For the past few days, the stats from my Etsy Ads campaign were reset to zero. After the issue was supposedly fixed, the views on my products dropped significantly — to the point where they are now almost at zero, which is not normal.

I contacted Etsy’s online support last night, and they informed me that there was indeed an issue with my account. The last message I received from them said:

"It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue that our engineering team is looking into. I’ve added all of the details from this ticket to their investigation so they have more information to work with. Thank you so much for reporting this, it lets us know how widespread the issue is and helps our teams prioritize fixes."

However, I never received a solution.

Etsy isn't know for being speedy. I suspect you'll have to wait a bit longer to learn the status. I'd keep responding to the same message with 'I still need help'.

Until yesterday afternoon, they were responding quickly. I don't know what's happening now.

@JCShoppingProductos   It's Memorial Day weekend in the US so chances are it is a slim crew that is working over the weekend.

Running Etsy ads doesn't automatically promise views and it is quite likely that you only have few views for a new shop without any sales yet.

Your items are indeed indexed so they will show up in search.

It would be useful to add your store location (where you are located, not where you ship from) so that the search engine knows where you are and you can be included in searches which should give you more traffic.

You can add it here:  How to Add Your Shop's Location – Etsy

@JCShoppingProductos: Notwithstanding Etsy glitches, a couple of things for you to consider. New shops get a temporary boost in search so that the algorithm can learn if anyone wants the items. It is possible that this honeymoon period has come to an end for your shop.

Running ads does not guarantee views or traffic. FIRST your listing must meet the search requirements to rank high enough to be considered for an ad slot. Then, and only then, Etsy will "auction" off the available ad slots to those qualifying listings that they think will generate the most revenue for them. If your listing's views do not result in sales then that listing will be shown less often.

The niche you are in is very competitive and that does not help.

You may want to consider driving your own external traffic and sales so that the algorithm learns that people want what you are selling.

Your titles do not work well for ads.  They are spammy with the same keyword used too many times like the word shirt.

Add your location.  You must not be in the US as your listings are being translated?  And you need to list your POD in listings and about page.  If you are shipping from one location you need to show the location.

You have other issues.  If you are shipping to the EU/UK, you need to accept returns and you need shop policies for the EU/UK.

Etsy ads depend on many things especially titles.   However there is that other pesky thing known as competition for keywords. In a saturated market there are many who have very high budgets for the ads which new sellers do not have.  It is possible you are being outbid.

As to chat, I'm not sure how much they really know about how things work on Etsy.  They are outsourced and sometimes the information given is not entirely accurate.
