Order checkout issue? Gift messages not working?

Is there a current checkout issue? I checked twitter but didn’t see anything from Etsy.

i have a buyer trying to order gifts and they are saying they can’t customize the gift message. (As a temporary fix I had them message me the gift note and I’ll hand write it.) But now they are saying they can’t get past the shipping part of checkout.

No checkout issue that I am aware of.

Be careful: many "buyers" are actually scammers trying to get you to go off of Etsy so that they can more easily trick you into giving out personal information. 

You can ask your potential customer to contact Etsy if they are having trouble checking out. Explain that you do not handle those details, and cannot assist them further.

Thanks. I don’t think it’s a scammer based on what they are purchasing and gift message. They said they’d try again later this morning.

I could be browser vs app.  If they have an outdated version of the app, things can and do glitch.  I've had personalization get cut off, and it's always on the app.

I am having the same problem! Some customers told me they can't include a gift message and I have it enable in my shop!

I tried  to order something in my computer as a gift and It doesn't show the gift message  option then I tried on the app and it appears the option! I think is not working in the computers!

Did you try at shop that offers gift messages?  Not all shops do.  If you used your own shop, even in incognito mode, Etsy knows it is you and you cannot buy from yourself.

I believe the ability to leave a gift message is on the 2nd page that Etsy shows.  It's an ellipsis.  In other words the buyer has to click on it to leave the message.
