On Sunday I was speaking to an agent about an issue and they said "I'm going to transfer you to that team" and that was it. That chat sits there, five days later, stuck. I've put in two tickets - the first was one was closed with an article on how to open a new shot - WHAT?!?
I've been using the chat on my other store to get attention to the broken chat in the first store and now the chat in the second store is stuck on the conversation earlier today so I created yet another ticket for that store.
What is going on here? I searched the forums and this appears to be a frequent problem FOR YEARS.
Can Etsy please prioritize fixing their chat so that it at least times out if it gets stuck? (Not sure if the agent forgets to do something, if it's a bug or what)
Does anyone have another recommendation? Thanks all!
Chatbot frozen in my shop as well.
You could try logging out, clearing cache and cookies, restart device and log back in. Open chat and type in new question, this should restart it.
Thank you for the recommendation. Unfortunately, I see this issue across two browsers on my computer, my cell phone and on my husband’s computer, so this is clearly a software glitch on Etsy’s end. I really appreciate your recommendation.
they do it a lot, its so you can't actually get help, same as raising a ticket, those get closed without any resolution, quite a few people have this normally takes a week to reset
recommendations unfortunately did not work. Mine has been non-functional for 4 weeks now.
@halfturndesigns I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but hopefully things get straightened out for you. Did you try email?
