Two Factor Authentication: how to set up authenticator?

Brand spanking new to Etsy Selling. I set up my shop, it's up (although the listings are not completed quite yet).

Apparently, I set up 2FA, but I did not set up the authenticator. So now I can't log into my account on any other computer than the one I set it up on. How do I set up the authenticator if it doesn't give me a QR code to scan? I can't turn off 2FA without authenticating, so I can't start over with setting it up.

(Also, is there a specific authenticator I should use, does it matter? I have and use both Google and MS Authenticator.)

Please and thank you for any advice.

Unless you have the list of back up codes you will have to contact Etsy and explain to them what happened.

You could try requesting a call back

Personally I use Google authenticator and have never in all these years had an issue with it and you can back it up.

You can set up 2 factor authentication to send a code to your mobile. That's the way I have it set up. If you are logged in, you can go and change it, or set up the authenticator app from there. Read the instructions in the link below. If using the codes remember to save the back-up codes somewhere.
