Trying to start an ad campaign but system thinks my shop is on vacation. When I click on Marketing -> Etsy Ads I get the below. The shop is definitely NOT on vacation. I tried toggling to Vacation mode and then back to Active. This did not work. Help!
Your shop needs to be active to start Etsy Ads
Looks like your shop is on vacation mode or inactive right now. When your shop is active again, you can start advertising right away.
You will just need to wait until the system recognizes your shop is not on vacation mode. You slowed down the process by turning on vacation mode.
The problem is probably because there are no payment options available in your shop. You're not 'on vacation' but the shop is 'inactive'. Check your financial info to see if everything is up to date and correct. You'll have to contact Support about it tho.
@PenAndTimber you have no payment methods in your shop. You need to find out why. Maybe you got an email from Etsy.
I had this all set up and now I see a message that the system needs my taxpayer ID to reeactivate. I went through over a month of screwing around with Etsy to get that sorted as they didn't believe the LLC I set up existed. I'm getting pretty worn out on the mess of etsy.
IT'S FROZEN AGAIN FOR THE SAME REASON AS BEFORE!!! I'VE SPENT MONTHS MESSING AROUND WITH THE MESS. UNLESS IT'S RESOLVED IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS, I'LL BE MOVING ON. HOW DO I GET AHOLD OF A PERSON???!!!!
IT'S NOW COMPLETELY LOCKED DOWN. DONE. UNLESS SOMEONE HAS A PHONE NUMBER I CAN SPEAK WITH SOMEONE AT, I'M DONE. HOW MUCH TIME AND MONEY DOES ONE HAVE TO WASTE???!!!
@PenAndTimber Go to your dashboard > help > contact us. You can either send an email or request a call back. Don't use chat for this. There is no direct number for you to call. Any phone # you find on google will be a scam site.
Contact leads me in a giant circle. There is no callback availability.
where's the direct link to request a callback?
@PenAndTimber If you were going around in circles, try finding a topic where there's the option to click ''I still need help''. That will open the page to the available contact options. Right now, I'm getting Chat and Call back so see if this will work:
Creating a new support request just throws me in the same circle - "Selling on Etsy -> Shop Suspended -> Do Something Different"
No options to get a callback, talk to a person, yet the tagline is "Etsy Keep Commerce Human"
Why is that link not easy to find? I should not have to fool the system to get help.
@PenAndTimber Once you get the hang of it, finding the contact options is easy. You just have to go thru the topics closest to the problem until you find one that has the ''I still need help'' button.
There is no hang of it. I went in circles for weeks trying to get myself sorted before. I still need help, puts me in a circle again. I'm happy to walk etsy through my tries, but I can only get there if someone from the community gives me a link.
I made a fake problem so I could get to "still need help" - should not have to do this. Got a message saying I need to verify my email. I click on the link in the email and get another message saying I have to verify my email. Apparently I'm only getting the hang of going in circles.
Now I'm going through the same process as a month ago where I submitted docs to etsy to unlock the account. Everything I entered is correct but the system does not believe the LLC I created exists.
Checked my email and there was nothing in there about being frozen or requiring payment information. It's no wonder I've only had one sale since I've been in the platform - everything looks fine to me but customers see something much differnt. It's clear that etsy is not interested in my success. I'm off for an event in an hour and when I get back, I'm moving to another platform.
Understanding that all the sites rely on some type of automation, I've had nothing but problems with Etsy. There is no easy support, and very little communication. I don't think it's me as I'm pretty good with technology.
This sucks 100% of the joy from this.
Multiple support requests and nothing from Etsy. All done. Moving on to another platform.
Over $100 down the drain because Etsy automated systems do not believe my LLC is valid and not personal contact with people. I want my money back!
And the expectation is that I get support here instead of the people I’m paying money to??!! Ridiculous.
I shouldn’t have to crowdsource support for my money.
If you have registered with Etsy as an LLC, they need to be able to confirm your LLC is legit for various reasons -- including their own compliance with federal consumer protection laws.
Did they explain why they think the LLC is not valid?
They explain nothing. I provide the paperwork, they enable the site, the system reviews my info and disables the site, I provide the info again and they enable the site, the system reviews my info and disables the site. Rinse. Repeat. I’ve been paying for this mess for months.
And BTW - All my paperwork is good and legitimate. It's the system doing auto-validation that's causing the issue. I even spent some "time" on the phone with actual people from the IRS who validated everything - just in case.
This is 100% Etsy.
