Trying to re-locate my shop to Gibraltar...

...but it doesn't seem to be a recognised location. I've been trying to add new shipping profiles, but the postcode isn't recognised. I've also tried to update my legal/tax info and Gibraltar isn't even on the drop down list of countries. Is this a bug, or can I just not sell from there?

I did open a chat about the problem, but after an hour of them asking me to wait a moment, they came back and said I needed to find out for myself!?!

I have seen the thread about shops in certain countries being closed (if that's anything to do with it), but I believe that's not until August.

My guess is because your new country can’t use Etsy payments.

I did wonder if this is the problem, but it's a British overseas territory, with a British post code, and uses the British banking system.

I can confirm what Nana said. I filtered a gift search for Gibraltar and that shop only accepts PayPal.

Although maybe that shop is old and never updated. I'll see if I can find other shops.

Found another shop. They are PayPal only too.

It doesn’t make sense that you can’t have Etsy payments. They should be under the same banking laws as the UK.

I suggest you visit a local bank and maybe someone who knows about online payments might be able to assist you. I doubt you will get a proper response from Etsy support.

I agree, I fear it might have to do with Gibraltar not being in the list of countries where Etsy Payments is available. Which makes me wonder about Jersey and Guernsey - they are also not in the list. 

ETA: I found a Jersey shop that was PayPal only, but all the Guernsey shops I looked at (very briefly) had Etsy payments.

Nor is Monaco, but then again Luxembourg is.
