Trying to get help with my SS#

Etsy is not accepting my SS#.  Stating it doesn't match my name. I'm trying to find a way to contact. I can't find personalized help.

Is your Etsy account in the same name that is on your SS card?

One thing to check is if the name on your SS card is exactly as you have entered it here.

So, if the name on the card is Susan J Smith, then it should not be Susan Smith, or Susie J Smith, here.

And it's not just the name; the address too should be identical to the way you have it filed with Social Security.

Not "St." on one, and "Street" on the other.

Your legal name is on your bank account and SSN.  If you opened the shop with a diferent form of your name that could be an issue.  When you got your SSN that is the form of name the government has for you for taxes and such and is the form of name usually wanted by bank accounts.  So if you are using Kitty but your legal name is Karen, Karen is the name to use. (just a simple expample)

Also addresses had by the IRS which also informs Social Security need to match where you are located now.  If you got the card years ago and moved since then did you inform of an address change.  Even the post office needs to be informed of an address change. And your bank ought to have current address.
