Trouble Verifying?

It is my first time selling on Etsy and I just got a customer but I am having real trouble verifying payment as the loading screen seems to take long.i want to know uf it us normal for it to taje long and any idea how it takes in general as "half an hour" ETA.

Also don't really understand the card balance, as do I put in value of 3 if the product is £3?

I really need the help right now as got a customer and don't want to make the wrong impression.

Re: Trouble Verifying?

You have no sales. You do not verify payment - Etsy's payment processing company does that.

Re: Trouble Verifying?

You are being scammed, do NOT provide them any information!

If you have already added your card details, contact your bank and have that card blocked.

As Nanaletha mentioned, you have no sales in your shop.

All sales will appear in your dashboard under orders, anyone claiming differently for example via messenger is trying to scam you.

Re: Trouble Verifying?

@Former_Member  Scammers are preying on new shops who aren't aware of how things work on Etsy.  You don't need to do anything to verify a sale - If you gave out any info on your banking or credit card - contact your institutions to alert them to a fraud attempt ASAP!

Re: Trouble Verifying?

You don't need to verify sales.  That is a scam and you are lucky that the trap they have set up for you is broken.  Make sure to learn about scams so you don't end up falling prey to one.

Re: Trouble Verifying?

Check the message (using a browser). If it's not in the 'From Etsy' folder then it's not a genuine message from Etsy and could be a scam (in your case it is) .

If you gave them your card details then contact your bank and get a new card.

Re: Trouble Verifying?

You do not have a customer, you NO sales, you have a scammer trying to trick you into giving them your bank/cc info so they can STEAL your money.

You do NOT have to verify a payment from a buyer.
Think about, why would Etsy or a buyer need to know the balance on your card?
They wouldn't.

Payments are NOT made to a credit/debit card.
Payments will be in your payment account AND then they'll be transferred to YOUR bank account you had to verify when you set up shop here.

If you have entered in your bank account / CC #'s you need to call your bank ASAP and get them to freeze your account.
You entered that info on a FAKE Etsy site.
If anything ever needs updating on your account, YOU will see a notice on your dashboard/finance page.
If not there, then nothing needs updating.
