Tracking taken from two orders that had tracking and have been delivered - losing star seller status

Good Morning everyone, How can I get in touch with Etsy Customer Service? There has been a mistake on my account. Last week I looked and I was on point to receive star seller status and was so excited as it’s my first time achieving it! However, they have now taken tracking number out of two orders and say that they do not have tracking info. The two orders were placed separately by a friend of mine on the same day and were both being shipped to her home address. She placed one order and then a few hours late placed another. I shipped both orders out to her together and placed the tracking number into both orders. The package has since been delivered (this is confirmed) and she has received her items. However, now to my surprise, now Etsy is saying I did not list tracking for these two orders and is now listing me at 71% for shipping. I pulled the CSV and the tracking numbers are blank for these two orders. 

What can I do to fix this mistake? It’s frustrating that I can’t find any info to contact Etsy Customer Service. Can someone help me please? I AM so excited that I achieved Star Seller Status and am pretty bummed about this mistake.

OK, so I figured out that I was one number short in my tracking number that I entered. I went ahead and did the “add package” with the corrected tracking number since it’s been more than 3days. It now shows both tracking numbers and is showing accurately that the package was delivered. Will this fix this issue and show correctly my star seller status on November 1st? How can I contact Etsy Customer Service to make sure?

It may show tracked but it will also show shipped late unless it was still in your original shipping timeframe. There is an edit function for tracking numbers. I think there is like only a 3 day window to correct it though. Not sure what will happen in your case. If you still have time I would go edit the original tracking if it lets you

On the completed order next to the shipped USPS or whatever on the far right there should be an edit tracking button. If it is delivered I don't know that you can edit it..but if it was an error tracking number it should still be open and not show delivered so I would try that.

But not sure if it will let you use the same tracking number again on the first order? You just need to try and see what happens. When I have to add a tracking number I copy /paste it making SURE to get it all because I tend to be very "typo-y" in my typing.

Thank you for your reply Hopeandjoystudios! Unfortunately it would not let me edit the tracking as it has been more than 3days. The tracking number I had entered on both orders was missing a number so I believe that’s why the number got taken out as it wasn’t valid. The order was showing in pretransit in the sold orders, however now that I have done “add package” with the updated/correct tracking number it is showing that the package has been delivered. Do you know how I can contact Etsy Customer service to make sure this mistake doesn’t affect my star seller status?

I believe it still will affect your star seller status.

How do you ship? Both Etsy labels and Pirate ship transfer tracking numbers to your orders automatically, leaving out the possiblility of typos.
You would still need to add the tracking number for the second order, but there's a copy/paste button easily available on PirateShip as well.

Unfortunately Etsy does not fix things like that or anything to do with SS status..even if it was a glitch or mistake on their part. It is a "live and learn " moment. Sorry!

"Etsy Support can’t make changes to your Star Seller data or manually award Star Seller badges. If you think your Star Seller score was calculated incorrectly, you can let us know in the Technical issues forum."   < from the SS Help Center. Which does not mean they will fix the issue unless many are affected by the same sudden glitch. And even then I doubt they'd update the SS data.

Etsy customer service was absolutely no help and would not help me fix the tracking number which was an honest mistake. Due to this mistake I will not achieve star seller status for November 1st…all because I missed one number when I entered the tracking for the completed orders. Talk about a major flaw in the system when sellers are doing everything they should be doing to ensure a pleasant customer experience only to be penalized and have star seller status taken away because they made a mistake.

The thing is, I don’t want them to do anything to “give” me star seller status, BUT if they would fix the tracking number it would update automatically as they would be able to see this was shipped and delivered on time. The other thing is, why wouldn’t they alert you that there was an error in the tracking number? When I entered it, it came up as USPS with “pretransit” status. Which would indicate everything is as it should be, you know? Rather than saying number invalid with an opportunity to correct it. So disheartening especially when customers look for this badge to know that a seller doesn’t have it because of a typo…

Learn from this and put in place a method to eliminate the possibility of error. In other words, use either PirateShip or Etsy Labels or some other method where you don't need to copy and paste.

I am having this same issue I include tracking on all my orders and it says I’m missing it on 2 I have gone through my completed orders and everyone of them have tracking numbers
