Tracking entered but Etsy isn’t picking it up

Jump to solution

I entered in my tracking but Etsy thinks that I didn’t even though it’s clearly listed.  Now my star seller is at risk.   What can I do?

@Sarahflicious: You need to check the applicable CSV file on your Star Seller page to see what Etsy thinks is late or otherwise has something wrong with it. In particular make sure that *Had processing time?* = yes, *Ship by* has a date, *Tracking/label date* has a date, and *Shipped on time?* = yes.

If the shipping company is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. Is the order showing as at least "in transit"?

Has the package been scanned? Sometimes a tracking number cannot be validated until after the first scan is publicly available. Our experience is that a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file and Etsy stats correctly show tracking and shipment status.

An unsupported shipping company or invalid tracking number equals shipped without tracking.

Did you download the report and look at all of the orders in that period? It might be your processing time or you may be the victim of the glitches that are rampant within the Star Seller program.

"To qualify for Star Seller, you’ll need 95% or more of your orders to ship within your stated processing time and with tracking* or you purchased a shipping label on Etsy. Digital orders will not require tracking information.

Ship within your stated processing times. We use the processing times you set for each listing to determine the ship-by date. Update your processing times to accurately reflect your workflow and set clear expectations with shoppers."
