I noticed that 5 of my orders that all have tracking info provided are showing as not having tracking info per the Star Seller badge stats. I talked with two customer support staff on Etsy and they both agreed that there is tracking on all 5 orders. They told me to post something on this board because they are unable to do anything about it. Can someone please assist? I have never had this happen before and have not changed anything with my process. It's unfairly lowering my score for what seems like a technical glitch. Thank you!

@TheHomespunLoft So annoying! I hope they fix it soon because every day my percentage is dropping as more orders get shipped. I will definitely escalate again too if I'm not getting any resolution.

I have an order that was mailed on time with tracking and it shows up in my completed orders, but the star seller says that it does not. This all happened on October 11th, today is the 12th. Please fix this problem.

help desk DID fix my 5 items shipped Tuesday. Got an update email.
HOWEVER — now I have 2 more from yesterday shipping!!
I am so annoyed by these glitches.

@AtMemoryLane: It often takes a day or two after the package has been scanned for the CSV file and an order to correctly show tracking and shipment status (assuming that something else does not go wrong). And this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).

@BagmakerSupply, if this is strictly for forum members and there is no etsy admin input, why does the SS program direct you to come here?
My package was scanned when I brought it into the PO. I do not leave without a scan. And why does the system recognize the scan (as it shows up in my completed orders) but not the SS program? That doesn't make sense.

I agree--it is weird but the Etsy support staff told me to post my complaint on this specific board after confirming that what i was saying was true. They couldn't change anything for me.

Because saying "sucks for you" and hanging up would be considered rude? Possibly if enough report the same issues and made enough noise Etsy might look into it.

Look at your completed orders to make sure you can see a tracking number. If not, click the 3 dots, then Add Tracking and manually choose your mail carrier and type it in. If that doesn't fix it, then Etsy just doesn't care. The whole Star Seller system is flawed and inaccurate on it's stats. Etsy does not seem to care.

This morning I purchased an Etsy label with tracking, mailed my package early this afternoon and had it scanned by the postal worker at the counter. I have a receipt showing the exact time it was scanned and the truck usually goes out around 4:30, so by now it should have shown another scan for departure and one for arrival at the next location. Tonight it is still saying pre transit and on the USPS website it is saying “not trackable” so I am thinking it is a USPS glitch and not an Etsy generated problem…? (for once). I certainly hope it gets scanned again at its next destination en route and self corrects. I don’t want it to affect my SS status as I don’t sell a lot and it would take a long time to recover. I have also experienced recycled tracking numbers that were alarming to me and my buyers. Those seemed to self correct a day or so after being shipped. Fingers crossed.

That could be a separate issue, but for me, I still have Etsy tracking statuses that say Pre-Transit but when you click on the actual USPS tracking it says Delivered! I hope you are not experiencing the same issue.

@AtMemoryLane: Best guess is that you were directed here because that is what the help pages say and the customer service people seem to just be answering from scripts. Since there are innumerable threads about this Etsy must be aware of it and it is a way to dispose of your inquiry.

During the night my tracking updated and it is working as it should. I had googled the issue and apparently it is a USPS problem that they are working to solve. However it will definitely cause Etsy to penalize sellers through the star seller program and scare buyers. I hope that it will be fixed soon and that you will not be affected badly. It would be nice if Etsy would pay attention and let sellers know that if they have shipped with tracking and have sent out on time that they won’t be dinged by a USPS issue that is beyond our control.

I too am having this issue. Etsy currently feels that I have 4 orders that do not have shipping. Of course this information is incorrect because each and every single one of them have shipping information and 1 has already been delivered. I am really having a hard time understanding how a program that is supposed to reward/benefit stellar shop owners is so flawed. I have 1 order showing that it shipped late because Pirate Ship’s integration did not update on Etsy when the label was created. That issue I was reluctantly willing to look past because it wasn’t negatively impacting my star status but this…unacceptable. No way to fix it so let’s create a forum for everyone to go vent but it won’t change anything. Makes perfect sense. I hope a better solution is on its way. Especially for issues that are clearly incorrectly calculated.

Thank you! I can see that the past orders have been corrected and are now showing as having tracking. However, the one I just sent yesterday does not. The USPS status in In-Transit, so I think the same issue is happening still. Thanks!

@Trend8Store: What happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order? If it opens the courier's tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly.
If that does not work and if If the shipping company is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. An unsupported shipping company or invalid / unverified tracking number equals shipped without tracking.
Also, you may want to start a new thread if you are having an issue. The moderators do not seem to like us posting on old threads.

How did you get a response from Etsy? This just happened to me as well, looks like three of my orders are showing no tracking.
