According to Etsy, the total number of items in my shop at the moment is 289. I have looked at all the sections and counted up the items in each and the total comes to 291. Can anyone tell me why there is this discrepancy?
I'm in the UK and see 289. Are the other 2 knife/knives listings?
Cause we're banned from seeing them.

I see 291 in your shop not 289.
I see 291. If you miss putting something in a section the all number will be higher than added categories, Added categories higher than all? Math error or something maybe in deactivated?
If you looked at your shop number of items shortly after adding some listings, that number might not have updated yet.
@TheWhistlingMan : It sometimes take a while for pages like your shop home page to update. Have you checked using the Listings Page in Shop Manager (preferably via a browser)? The Listings page should be the definitive source of truth about the quantity and status of all your listings.

I am also in the UK and have not updated my shop recently. It appears that a set of knives and forks, and a cake knife, might not be included. I have never heard of this before. Do you mean to say that no-one in the UK can see the fish knives and forks and the cake knife?

I see on the shop main page 291 total items. Guess Etsy caught up with listings?
No, it is still showing as 289 in the UK! Why should it be showing as 291 in the USA and elsewhere?
Apparently, even perfectly legal knives are not allowed to be seen or sold in the UK by Etsy sellers! This is such a load of ROT! The bots have gone into overdrive I think!
