When doing a search in the buy app, all Titles for all of my items are displaying differently than what I created. They are incorrect in some cases, which may lead to confusion with my customers.
i tested this by updating one of my items, it displays correctly in the seller app, but the search buy/app is still showing the wrong to title.
I see my competitors listings are also showing in this strange format (with a colon)- so assume this is an AI change that’s being tested?
Anyone have more information about this, or how it can be removed?
I hope you can get some answers here. I have seen some other people with this issue
It seems like a test you are in as a buyer - as when I checked with the other shops everything looked normal to me. So I guess 'good news' not all buyers see the change
That's not good. I hope that is a test that disappears soon! What's next AI changes our description??
Das klingt nicht gut. Könntest du ein Beispiel geben: Dein Titel vs ai titel? Dann könnten wir uns mental auf Kundenfragen und Beschwerden einstellen

I think etsy tested this before where they changed the titles to see how buyers respond.
@HaydenHarlowPR -- I would definitely contact Etsy and inquire with them as to why your listing titles are being changed &/or showing differently. It's one thing for Etsy to change / test their own programming, but it's quite another thing for Etsy to change / test things within our own listings! If they can do that, what's going to happen next? Etsy changes our prices? ... shop location? ... shop policies? ... shipping settings? ... avatar/shop banner? ... banking, SSN, etc? The legality buck has to STOP somewhere!
Well that's not good. Sellers have said if a listing is performing well, don't change things about it. So now Titles are being changed?
Etsy has been experimenting with this for many months now. I am not sure that you can do anything to remove it.
If you have the time, could you please send me a few screenshots and some more details? I collect examples like this and write articles so sellers are aware. I would give you credit for anything I used, of course!
@HaydenHarlowPR Wow, tweaking titles on mobile... Interesting. Sounds like AI is optimizing for improving search results for the buyer on mobile. As usual, we'll never know.
That's some long reach into our shops!
What will they be changing next within our listings?
Wow. Just ... Wow. Especially without informing us - even getting our permission?
