Thumbnails have become unglued and don't react to correction

Is anybody else affected?

When I just did a search, the photos only looked right in the "most popular" list. (rectangular)

But below, the square photos are all unzoomed and most items appear too small now, and there is too much backdrop showing.

Please fix this.

No problem etsy. Have your fun. Just means I spend more and more of my time (and new listings) on other venues that don't mess with me without any lead time, that don't try out half-baked changes live, and that refuse to interact with the ones that pretty much pay the bills.

Every day I become less and less enchanted with etsy...

Hi, all, thank you all, so far!

I think I'm struggling with the right words.

My shop photos look ok, a bit large....

But when I look at them on a search page, the items look much smaller, there is more backdrop around them, because my cropping got lost.

This is not good, because some photos of competitors literally jump at me, they're HUGE! 

The search page looks very incongruent and messed up to me...!

I guess we will to wait...

@AnnaleasFinest For the test I am in your images look really good in both the square & horizontal search format. May I send you some screenshots in an Etsy message? Just make sure to respond, lol, we don't want to upset the Etsy gods.
