There are missing messages when you measure message response rate. When I download message statistics I see only 3 messages, but in period May 1 - July 31 I had 8 conversations.
It was confirmed by Ervin on Etsy chat, that there are missing messages.

Only new messages count. Ongoing threads don't count.
We are only your peers - we can't fix anything. Only Etsy can "fix" things and they don't normally make changes to SSB data.
Those are new conversations with different clients.
Etsy support from chat told me that I should write my problem here and technical support will solve it

We are all sellers here in the forums. You can only get technical support from Etsy Support staff: not us. We can only offer possible reasons for why you are experiencing this.
Sometimes, messages come to us from potential scammers, and Etsy removes those accounts, in which case, the conversations are deleted. This may have happened in your case.
Etsy very occasionally will address issues reported in the forums but as they say they won't fix SS issues chat telling you to report it here was a brush off. The only way they'd address it (maybe) would be if it was a widespread issue. Sorry. Do the missing messages affect your SS score? If not I'd not worry about it.
