The message window has all but disappeared

This is just plain weird.  I pulled up a message from a customer and I can only see about 2 rows of text and it scrolls very eratically.  She is experiencing the same thing.    Anybody else?

And I just cleaned out my cache, same problem, so I changed to Edge ... same problem.  Going to see if I can get a response from Help.

She's back.  I am puzzled by the lack of others experiencing this.  I really expected to hear that it was more wide spread.

Messages are all as normal. I am using a chrome browser on desktop. Perhaps something weird has gotten stuck that is causing it on your computer. Have you tried rebooting your computer and clearing your cache?

Yes, I did that, and even changed browsers.  And it's not just me.  A customer wrote me and said she was experiencing the same thing.

@FishBayElements  I see what you mean (desktop computer, Chrome). Just noticed today, after seeing your post. I went to a Message, and you have to repeatedly hit the scroll bar to read it. It's odd (have never seen this before). It reminds me of when someone as sent me a DM on the Forum. I can only read it line by line, which I always thought was weird. This is very similar.

Me too - I was worried it was an update. I can't read anything and it would take forever to read through multiple messages. I hope it's a bug!

Thank you for the validation!  Sorry to learn that is affecting you both, too, but maybe the techs will take notice.  I tried to get the situation across to support but in the end she wanted a screen shot, sent me a link, and this old lady (me) is totally lost with stuff like that, and when the link said I need to download windows drivers and mine are up to date, well, I  am really leery about downloading just because.  Maybe it will be fixed.  I hope so.  This is so annoying.

Yes can only see the beginning of the message. When I click to read it there's nothing there.

I have the same issue. I'm on a PC and I've tried Firefox and Edge, both are doing the same thing. The "SEND" button disappears if I write too much. I had luck earlier sending multiple, very short messages. But now there's a huge yellow banner about scams and I can't get it to go away so I can only write a line at a time and then, with line 2, the SEND button disappears. Help...

It is the same for me. There is no way to get rid of the scam  alert message and actually read the message sent.

There is a link that says "OK, got it" and usually  if one clicks on those links the notice goes away--but this time nothing happens.

I think etsy has added this to twart scammers and they messed up the coding.

OK--I tried 3 different browsers and found : Chrome and Firefox are hopeless. One gets the big yellow notice and the page will not scroll and one cannot read the message sent at all. If you write any text into the box and hit send it simply disappears and you cannot tell if it sent or not as  nothing shows above the yellow box and you cannot scroll the message box at all . On EDGE the big yellow notice is there and if this is an ongoing thread (which is all I have there) everything is visible and can be scrolled and replied to. I think the Edge  one is how it is supposed to work. I guess for messages we will have to use Edge or else simply wait until Etsy fixes this. BTW--i HATE Edge and never use it!

I have it too. Infuriating. Takes twice as long to answer a message since you have to scroll 2 lines at a time.

Truly hope this is a bug and not the new norm.

Thanks Etsy for making it twice as hard to provide great customer service.
