This is just plain weird. I pulled up a message from a customer and I can only see about 2 rows of text and it scrolls very eratically. She is experiencing the same thing. Anybody else?

Me too. The page won't scroll down far enough to be able to hit the Send button.

Oh, I had just chatted with support. They are fixing it, and I just needed to restart my laptop. It's gone....

Re: The message window has all but disappeared
It feels like a test was done, and they suggested clearing history, cache etc. I simply restarted. It worked perfectly.

Re: The message window has all but disappeared
Using desktop, W11 with Edge and I'm seeing messages ok.
I am not seeing a huge yellow banner though.
I'm seeing the warning from Etsy right below the message box and right about the reply box is all that's been there a few weeks.

Re: The message window has all but disappeared
That big yellow message is so in your face you can't miss it . It completely covers prior messages in the same thread and I am sure in new messages as well. (I don't have any new to test). Some LUCKY people on here can see 2 lines of the prior message , or new ones, but I can see none.

Re: The message window has all but disappeared
@ThePurplePuppy
I just logged in with Chrome using W11, desktop and my message page looks normal.
No yellow banner at all, huge or small.
All I see regarding scams is that small text below the message sent box and right above the reply box alerting sellers to not follow links to other sites, not to send personal info through message, etc.
I'm glad I'm not seeing this. Sounds awful!

Re: The message window has all but disappeared
Yes, I noticed this yesterday and assumed it was a glitch. I haven't received any messages today so don't know if it's still an issue.

Re: The message window has all but disappeared
Well crap!...........I spoke too soon.
Now sometimes on Edge I can click on a messages from a friend and see their message but then I can click on a message from another friend and I can't see the message at all, just a HUGE white space.
And no matter what message I click I see this RED banner:
"Oops something went wrong loading your messages, try again".
Not seeing a yellow banner though.
And it's a Friday evening, what are the chances that Etsy will fix whatever the he!! they did to mess up the message pages.
ETA: AND now, I can't access any shop, get the uh oh, a stitch has gone awry message.

Re: The message window has all but disappeared
I was getting a grayed out list of messages in my inbox (I'm sure my description that doesn't make sense), and a huge blank white space when opening individual messages. (Windows 11/Firefox). Clicking the refresh arrow, everything shows fine.

Re: The message window has all but disappeared
This is common on many sites, they just show the start of the message, but the reading window is expandable. On the reading window, there are two small diagonal lines at the bottom right corner, click and drag those to expand the window and see more of the message.

Re: The message window has all but disappeared
It seems like there is more to it than that. I just managed to extricate the actual message, then typed my reply, and after a certain length of message the SEND button slides off the screen and I had to break my reply into 3 parts to send it. Someone had to prove again that they are justified to have a job? They keep messing with everything that worked just fine.

Re: The message window has all but disappeared
I don't have those 2 small diagonal lines in the bottom right corner and the banner about span is in black and white on my computer. Everyone's issue is the same but different. I've tried yet again closing out, cleaning out and restarting. This is such a mess!

Re: The message window has all but disappeared
I went to the incident link and at 4 something o'clock they were investigation. I got a valuable tip from another post about this issue. If you shrink the size of the entire page that you are receiving messages on you can see more, and maybe all of the incoming message. depending on how long it is. It works, but the text is much smaller. Fingers crossed that Etsy actually fixes this.
