- An order I placed was cancelled on 8/4 - seller never sent item and never responded to messages
- I eventually opened a case to try to find out status
- Etsy stepped in and refunded purchase
- Still they persisted in asking me for a review, though I did not want to give fellow Etsian a bad review bc things happen
- Seller cancelled order (still never communicated with me)
- Orange dot asking for review remained but now every time I go to reviews Etsy tells me they can't load info
- Now there is a perpetual orange dot under purchases and reviews
Anyone know how to get rid of the incorrect perpetual orange dot which is meaningless?
Only way I can think of is to ask Etsy to remove it. They put it there, and only they can remove it. Sad, I know.
There are several threads on this forum about this issue and it appears that the issue has not yet been resolved.
Same problem except the orange dot is to leave feedback for orders received. I'm still waiting to be able to leave positive feedback. I get the "Sorry - can't load message." Subsequent order, number in orange dot increased and I could leave feedback but not for the original group. Tried a different computer and 3 different browsers on each - no luck. It is driving me a little crazy though I am trying to wait it out.
@CreativeSpiritGlass - The orange dot will not go away until the ability for you to leave a review is over. I think that window is open for 100 days?
No, there is no ability. I just keep getting a message saying that they can't load my purchases/reviews. When I go into my purchases the one in question is gone/does not showl
After 48 hours the ability to leave the review is canceled if the seller did cancel as well as refund.
Totally off topic - Perpetual Orange Dot is a great band name!
lol
I have the perpetual orange dot on my messages on my phone, but there is no message to click on. This occurred because I spammed a crappy promotional message on my laptop, before I clicked on it on my phone. I'm going to try unspamming it to see if it will reappear on my phone, so I can read it there. The dot is getting annoying.
Try cleaning out cache and cookies. Running utilities. Sometimes a clean out will erase the dot.
As OCD as I am, I have FINALLY learned to "ignore the dot!" {{{and I think that is an even better band name!}}}
