Technical issues with the new listing form

I can't reactivate a deactivated listing with changes using the new listing form!

When I make changes in a deactivated listing using the new listing form and click on 'publish' it says I can either leave the page or continue editing. But it's impossible to publish! It's also impossible to save the changes I've made.  So then I have to go to the old listing form and start all over again. I have no idea how to solve this when the old listing form is removed later in June!

Re: Technical issues with the new listing form

@Miniandminiature  - This has been mentioned before. Others have said that you do click on the "leave" option, even though this doesn't seem to make sense.
I guess this is something you can try, especially since you're losing your time and energy whether you're having to go back to the old form or if in the end the changes don't stick and the listing not reactivated.

Though I think you may still need to go back in and make additional changes/edits to the listing even if it does publish.

If I can find that thread I'll add the link to it.

Re: Technical issues with the new listing form

I have not had any issue with using a deactivated or sold out listing with the new template.

It could be that something is missing in the new template or something isn't lining up right.  Did you check everything including the photos?

Are you using a browser or the app?

Is your OS up to date as is the browser?

Are there any extensions that might be interfering?

Is this a language issue?

As I said I have no problems with the new listing format for using copy, new, deactivated or sold out listings so I'm just hazarding a guess that it may be how your browser/OS is meeting this change.

Re: Technical issues with the new listing form

I had this happen to me multiple times using the NEW form.  I clicked cancel and went back into listing and decided to try listing again.  This time it went thru but Etsy charged me 2 times to list the one listing.  Only shown 1 listing being listed.  I was on chat with Etsy for 30 mins and finally they agreed that Etsy may have a glitch after crediting for 1 listing charge.  This form does not work all the sellers.  It is not your computer!

Re: Technical issues with the new listing form

@JDTotesnDolls I always use an up to date version of Firefox, not the app. If more people have the same problem, it's most likely Etsy and not the browser. But thanks for your guesses!

Re: Technical issues with the new listing form

I tried to renew a sold listing this morning and had the same problem. Had to finish up on the old form.

Re: Technical issues with the new listing form

I had the same issue trying to edit a sold out listing. I tried everything and it would not publish. All that work for nothing. I had to use the old form which works great so why are you making us use this new clunky form Etsy?

Re: Technical issues with the new listing form

Try using the grey gear icon on the listings manager page to activate / relist.  Then click to edit, if needed.  (Although some people are reporting glitches with trying to save edits, too) This is the only thing that worked for me when I was trying to relist sold-out items.

Re: Technical issues with the new listing form

The new form won't publish inactive items with changes for me, either, the same as your experience.
I found I had to activate the listing first, then make changes.

Re: Technical issues with the new listing form

That seems so odd to have to do that...like 'let's put the cart in front of the horse and then we'll sort it out later'
