Hello,
I met the requirements for star seller and Etsy said they made a mistake and are fixing it but here we are week later and still not timeline or follow up.
please help.
Hi, We are just other Sellers here. When you spoke to Etsy and they said they would fix the error in your Star Seller, was it thru Chat or Email? Because I would be really surprised if they adjusted SS Metrics. If it's incorrect, they should indeed fix the error, but from seeing posts from others, they don't seem to move fast on a good day, with all due respect.
download the messages csv, and you will see which one/s etsy thought were late,
remove all IP infringing items, Like Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings, or you could lose all star seller badges, and probably your shop
and when I type in "Disney" which is trademarked for absolutely everything, there are 355 items, they could lose you your house
@ArwenPrints: What does you Star Seller page say your Shipping percentage was for your September Star (look at previous review period)?
Presumably you discussed your business plan with a qualified Intellectual Property (IP) attorney. Did they not tell you that you need to include the licensing information for all of the trademarked and copyrighted names and images in your shop in your listing? Or that most licensing agreements have required attributions? Otherwise buyers (and Etsy) may conclude they are counterfeits. Including your licensing information will show that you are not selling those items illegally.
As mentioned by @CraftyCornishMaids the Mouse has been known to show up at an IP infringer's door with a court order to confiscate everything used to design, manufacture, and promote any products that infringe their IP.
Seriously?
Your banner says "Click to view our Disney / Lord of the Rings collection".
One of the featured items is the Stormtrooper / Star Wars.
Numerous political IP infringements. The Office. Willy Wonka. Elvis. Babe Ruth and SO many more.
With almost 42,000 sales ... IP owners just might surprise the OP one day.
Star badges are the least of your issues.
For your items have you checked USPTO for trademark? If you have licenses to use the iconic registered names it would be a good idea to list them.
Check your CSV for information on the past three months? If you did not meet the requirements for September then there is nothing to fix. Chat often sends people here when they don't want to give an answer.
