Technical Issue

I need to save a listing. I cannot get it to save. I continue to get the message to contact Etsy Support if the problem continues.Everything was done except the photos. I even added an irrelevant photo, hoping that would help the situation. It did not.

Previously today, I saved a different item which makes this situation even more confusing. I am afraid I will lose all my information if I close down my computer and start again. Do I have any other options?

Gemini, I don't know the answer. But you have to shut your computer down sometime. It sounds like you're having trouble saving a listing - we don't know if the problem will repeat with other listings. 

Since we're guessing here, i can only give my recommendation.  I'd close down the computer completely. Then reboot. Then return to Etsy. It might be that the problem will be completely gone. It might be unchanged, in which case you haven't lost anything.  I'd try it. 

Please let us know if you do, and what the results are.  Hoping it works!

I had to laugh when I saw that your said . "You have to shutdown your computer sometime"  Really? I NEVER shut down my computer. I stay signed in to Etsy all the time. The only time my computer is shut down is if we have a power failure.

And yet you are right--it might help to reboot.  I always tell people that this to me is like  your car stops running--you coast to the side of the road,Open the hood, look inside, close the hood and see if the car will start. LOL

Make sure there is no empty space at the beginning of your title.  There are certain fields that have to be filled in before you can save.  You have to have at least one picture also.  When I start a listing I go through and put an x in title and description and fill all the required fields and then save as draft.  Then I can stop any time I want, save as draft and I don't lose anything.

Do you mean publish or trying to save as a draft?  To save as a draft certain fields have to be filled in.  If they are not, it won't save.  I can't tell you what fields as I seldom use the save the draft feature,
