What do I do?? Etsy removed my Star Seller badge for absolutely NO reason. I have not received an email or any other communication from Etsy explaining why they removed my badge. I have tried sending messages, but I have been blocked. As usual Etsy is a JOKE when it comes to communicating with sellers.
I have shipped everything on time, my customer ratings is a 4.9 for reviews, etc. and they still are ranking me at a 4.4. What is going on? Does anyone have any idea? How does a 4.9 go to a 4.4?
The point is... The 1 star review is from a buyer who admitted in writing that my description was 100% correct, but because I would not pay for return shipping (my policy is buyer pays return shipping) she gave me a 1 star review. An Etsy BOT PROMISED ME that it would be removed. I contacted Etsy BOT back a few days later and they told me it would not be removed.
Etsy is a complete JOKE when it comes to backing/supporting Sellers. We have zero rights, we have zero ability to contact anyone outside of their sweat shop facility bots, etc.
I am working 10 plus hours a day like everyone else to keep my shop up and Etsy could care less. All they are worried about is money in their pockets.
By the way, my tax accountant tried contacting Etsy through the number they provided on their tax form because Etsy shorted me over $400 dollars for the 3 months I sold on Etsy last year.... it was a foreign call center. They knew NOTHING about taxes! I had to suck up the loss!
I don't know how on earth Etsy has not been sued!
Just double checking...did you meet all of the criteria?
https://www.etsy.com/starseller
@TricheTreasures Did you sell the required $300?
YES
There is no technical issue. Your review rating for July 1 is 4.6. It's just math. Easy to figure out math. Your rating is probably 4.4 now for reviews because the good ratings from April have fallen off. The reviews for star seller and all the other qualifiers are for only the previous 3 months.
Etsy doesn't communicate when you lose your star seller. Heck they barely communicate when your account has been hacked or you haven't been paid in over a year.
Yes, it is very easy to figure out math. I have:
100% for Messages
100% for Shipping
4.5 for Average Review
0 Cases
(It changed today to 4.5) It says NO MORE THAN 4 reviews have a rating of 3 or lower. I have 2 that are 3 or lower.
For the record, the 1 star is from a lady that admitted in writting that my description was 100% accurate. Etsy still chose to back the buyer.
The 4 star, the lady messaged me and said she meant to leave 5 stars but has a hard time seeing. Etsy would not allow her to change her review even though I did not comment on it.
This Etsy Seller rating is a complete SHAM!!!
Etsy refuses to back buyers. It is terrible!
"It says NO MORE THAN 4 reviews have a rating of 3 or lower. .."
Yes, that is the Service Standard not the Star Seller target.
They are 2 different things.
Star Seller target is 4.8 or higher.
You can read about the Customer Service Standard on that page a bit lower or here in Help Center https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036207794-What-are-Etsy-s-Customer-Service-Standards?segm...
Nothing you can do since your rating is below the requirement for the SSB.
Etsy is not going to reply when the info is on the help pages and Etsy Support won’t make changes to your Star Seller data or manually award Star Seller badges.
You have 3-4* reviews, a 3* reviews and a 1* review for April/May/June those alone could have lowered your rating to a 4.4 depending on how many 5* reviews you got those 3 months and if not many, it would easily lowered your rating to a 4.4.
If I counted right, 18 were 5* reviews for April/May/June.
Added all the stars up and I get 106 divided by 23 total reviews and it comes to 4.6 rating. (it has to be at least a 4.8 rating for the SSB).
And if the rating is a 4.4 now, it's because April ratings won't count for the Aug. SSB.
If you're looking at your 4.9 rating for the last 12 months that is for the customer service standards and it takes into account ALL the reviews for the past 12 months.
This is different that the SSB standards which are figured on the last 3 months.

@WitticismsRus I DO NOT have more than 4 reviews have a rating of 3 or lower!!! I ONLY HAVE 2 RATINGS 3 OR LOWER!!!! You just PROVED my point!!
The "3 or lower" is Etsy's service standard in your shop. It's the minimum for what Etsy considers good customer service.
Star seller standard is a review average of 4.8 or higher for the last three months.
Service standard and star seller standard are two differing rating systems.
There are 4 ratings. 2 4 star, 1 3 star and 1 1 star that count for the July star seller. It only gives you 107 stars out of 115 for 23 reviews. So 107 divided by 23 gives a 4.6 rating. Not high enough for star seller.
I think you completely misread or misunderstood my reply above. I did not say you had more than 4 reviews with rating of 3 or lower anywhere in my reply. I was simply trying to clarify that you were confusing Service Standards with Star Seller targets.
Read it again.
You are confusing the Customer Service Standards & Star Seller targets.
THEY ARE 2 DIFFERENT THINGS.
You ARE meeting the Service Standards but NOT the Star Seller target of 4.8 or more. Again...they are 2 different things.
If you are still confused then I'm not sure what else to say or how else to explain it. Maybe read the link I posted above to help understand the Customer Service Standards
