Taxpayer ID (UEN) Update Issue in Singapore – Anyone Successfully Resolved?

I’ve been struggling with this Taxpayer ID update issue in Singapore for the past two weeks. I tried to update my Taxpayer ID using my company’s UEN number, but Etsy’s system simply won’t accept it.

Every time I contact Etsy support, they only tell me to:

• Check with local tax authorities (which is irrelevant, since the UEN is correct and valid),

• Try using a different browser (already tested multiple times).

None of these suggestions work, and after that, they just stopped replying to my emails.

I remember seeing quite a few Singapore sellers reporting the same issue earlier. Did anyone manage to successfully update their Taxpayer ID with a UEN? If yes, how did you solve it?

Etsy’s technical support on this matter has been extremely disappointing. Hope someone here can share their experience.

Sorry that you are having those issues Have you tried searching the forums for posts from another Singapore sellers? That might be more helpful Good luck, hope you will find a solution soon.

Are you registered as sole proprietor or company in ACRA? If it is sole proprietor, I think you need to use NRIC number.

Select NRIC instead. I found out the UEN number that Etsy mentioned was referring to registration number of Pte Ltd, not the sole proprietor's business UEN.
