Why does Etsy keep targeting me. Since when is a shirt I make not handmade. ****** No it's not a copywrite issue. *****
I have run into this a few times now. Enough that I make star seller but they have presently taken it away.
ALL MY STUFF IS made by me, not in some factory overseas.
If I can't sell a shirt with a graphic that I made, then you have to take down millions of listings also. NOT JUST MINE
You have some infringing items in your shop - the Star Wars "inspired" items with the same logos / fonts will likely get pulled, too. Lord of the Rings too. I am guessing that's the main reason etsy is removing your items.

If you are using "print on demand" to make your items - you need to have designed the items yourself in order to be in compliance with that policy.
It's words not a graphic of theirs, Thoses are fine. But thats not the issue like I SAID. It's example a shirt that says That's Gross. Just words. They said not handmade.
@TnTApparels it doesn't matter if it's just "words" - the font style matters, too. Movie quotes, song lyrics, character names, movie / tv show titles etc - all protected.
Editing to add: keywords / tags you use are checked too- you need to go over all of your item tags and make sure no infringing phrases are in there.
Ah once again I think you are not understanding, It's not a copyright issue. They pulled claiming it's not HAND MADE
@TnTApparels I know what you said. Often, etsy's given reason ("not handmade") is in conjunction with infringing items. We see it here every day.
Your shop has infringing items... I am trying to help you avoid having your shop shut permanently by letting you know you can't sell certain items here. It doesn't matter if it's 100% handmade by you. The law is the law, and etsy has to follow it.
so a shirt that says, just the words, "That's Gross, Unless You're Up For It" is infringement. Even though the email says "Handmade items have to be made or designed by you"
You are saying that that line is copyrighted?
I think Etsy has 1 email that gets sent to everyone that has a listing removed. It’s kind of like “We removed this listing, you figure out why”. It’s the same if they close a shop, they don’t say what the specific reason is for your shop or listing. Maybe there is a legal reason to be so vague, who knows what their logic is.
