TRYING to shop on Etsy, but

I was looking for prints by ARTIST Mary Ann Lis.  Instead, I got this: https://www.etsy.com/search?q=mary%20ann%20lis%20&ref=search_bar 

So I looked over at Elsewhere, and found some of what I was looking for.

What are the chances that there aren't many here?

edited to add: setting preferences to highest price or lowest always seems to filter out the crap that Etsy thinks I need to see instead of what I want.

Your example of how Etsy search works is exactly why it does not work right.  People are not going to do all of that.  Customers need to be able to find things easily.

Yes, LastCentury is correct. The relevancy search results are relevant only in an alternate reality. I also sorted by highest price to weed out the irrelevant "relevant" results... (even without the word print)... and there was her artwork!

It's a real shame it's so difficult to shop here...

How many shoppers would think to filter by highest price to weed out all irrelevant items? How many will just give up? It should not be this hard to find what you are looking for on Etsy.

I think the Nancy doll must have killed the Mary doll and taken her place.

the reason why Esty search is not fixed? I've said it all along - off site ads. Why would Esty fix a money making scheme that forces buyers to search on google to find what they want after the annoyance that is Esty search results? They end up clicking on an ad and ka-ching - ad fee revenue.

btw, autocorrect is annoyed too - it doesn't like the word etsy, autocorrects it to Esty. And I finally looked up what Esty is... a feisty rooster - yep, sounds about right. (urban dictionary)
