INCORRECT TRACKING STATISTICS:

My dashboard is showing  I'm only at 50% on 'Tracking', which is not true.

It's also showing I have no statistics under 'messages', when in fact I've had several messages in the past few days all of which had a 1 hour turnaround time.

All my orders have tracking numbers, so I have absolutely no idea how to address this problem since Etsy has zero customer service options.

It's just so very frustrating the percentage of times my shop suffers because of Etsy's technical errors...

Any advice on how to get this issue addressed or corrected ??

We've double-checked your Star Seller, and we can confirm that you have 100% for the On-Time Shipping and 100% for the Message Response rate metric. Please know that it may take about 24 hours after an order has been shipped for the Message Response Rate score to update. The Star Seller dashboard also updates every 24 hours.

Wait 24 hours to see if it updates if these are recent tracking issues.

Are you having your items scanned by USPS at the counter or through the kiosk or scan sheet before your processing time is up?  Are your items accepted by USPS and are now in transit? 

For messages, have you checked the CSV about the messages.  Messages on the 30 and 31st don't count for February.  They will count for March.

Use Contact us to contact Etsy.   Submit a request – Etsy Help   Try this.  Have you even tried to send an email or see if chat or phone is available? 

Are you using Etsy labels or Pirateship?  If you are manually entering there is more chance of error.  Have you checked to see the number is correct?  

I use the kiosk at my post office to get that acceptance scan.  

If you are having difficulties always, it might be time to look at your processing of orders to see where it might be failing.  Is it your post office?  Are they not scanning.  It's just not enough to have the tracking number.  The item has to be in transit by the end of your processing time frame.

@PatriBellaVintage: This issue has been addressed in many many threads on this forum. How long ago did you ship? Have the packages been scanned? If the shipper is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. Often recent shipments are not correctly / timely updated. Usually a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status.

 

Messages are not counted until AFTER the 24 hour reply window has passed. And only the FIRST message of a NEW THREAD counts. Plus all Star Seller stats are in UTC not your time zone so what is January 31 to you may be February 1 to Etsy.

In my 12 years on Etsy, I've only ever used Etsy USPS labels and every package gets scanned ....

The problem isn't that my tracking numbers aren't showing, the problem is that the Star seller dashboard is saying "tracking numbers are missing", yet there is not one sold/shipped item without a tracking number. All tracking numbers for my packages are reflected in my Etsy  Shipped Section

But I emailed Etsy after my above post and whatever the problem was they've resolved because my star seller dashboard is back to 100% ...

So whatever caused the glitch I may never know ....

Why does Etsy show on a report 'missing tracking information' when the orders HAVE tracking entered and are showing 'in transit'.  We have seen this over and over again.  Our on time shipping stats for Star Seller show 94% or 95% over and over again, even when we have entered tracking within the timeframe for our order processing.  This was not the case one year ago, but has been going on for months now.  Did Etsy make some sort of change in their info gathering or reporting on shipping?

This is happening to me again this month. Happened last month and several months previously. I ALWAYS ship ON TIME and WITH TRACKING and yet I lose my Star Seller badge. Etsy gets it WRONG, and I get penalized. VERY UNFAIR. If you can't manage the Star Seller program, it should be ended. Please fix this!!

I've been on Etsy a long time now, and just lately, I'm seeing lots of "little glitches".  Yesterday, the dashboard showed 44 visits, but stats only shows 15...  Am I just being paranoid that "bots" are running the show here?
