THUMBNAIL Edit Does Not Save!!

What is wrong with this? It has been happening for weeks now. I adjust my thumbnail and it will not save!! SO FRUSTRATING! Come on Etsy, this should be a simple fix.

Most of mine save with no issue.  I have a couple that don't save well but I think that has more to do with my photo than with the Etsy listing.

I  looked at one of your photos.  They are not square.  Photos need to be square 4:3.  If vertical the thumbnail focuses on the center, not at the top or bottom.

I have had the same issue.  I crop the thumbnail and confirm but it does not save

I used to have more  trouble with it than I do now, but I found that if you click on transform and then make the change then press the checkmark at the right top it will work more often, although I still have to do it twice to get it to stick sometimes

I've been very frustrated by this as well.  Someone else suggested this and it worked for me: Adjust the thumbnail to where you want it and push done.  Then go to the crop box on the right.  Crop it the tiniest smidge then push save and it worked!

Same old, same old. It's been broken for literal YEARS.

Just take a photo for the thumbnail that is EXACTLY what you want for that first photo.

Stop struggling with something that Etsy has literally no interest in fixing.

I've been having trouble but I just did a new listing tonight and it saved it after clicking done on the right and apply on the bottom of the page.

It's been for ages. If there's going to be a thumbnail adjustment ability, zooming in to an image, it Needs to function.

Are you clicking the check mark to confirm, then clicking apply button as well after the pop up, closes, sometimes you have to scroll down to see it.

Hi all the exact same thing is happening to me. I've discovered it happens on my laptop and there is no way to change it. BUT if I go on the Etsy app on my phone and edit the thumbnail on there (crop using the transform button) it saves fine. Maybe try this? It's frustrating because it means I need to add a listing via my laptop and then edit it via my phone, but seems to work this way! Hope that helps x

Here's what I've noticed in regards to this issue...

The thumbnail does not save an adjustment. 

In search results, the thumbnail picture displayed is now replaced with a video (if you have one uploaded). When you hover over the listing thumbnail, the video starts but stops once the curser is moved off and depending on the video you have uploaded, your item may not actually be the first impression customers are seeing in the search results. If you're a shop that uploads videos of their process, this can be problematic.

I just tested this out... I was able to adjust the thumbnail on a listing that does not have a video. On my listing that does have a video, I cannot make the adjustment.

That's an interesting observation. I don't use videos and have have had no problems with my thumbnail adjustments.

I don't use videos. Sometimes Adjust Thumbnail works, and sometimes it does not. It's so dang aggravating.

I've been dealing with this for a very long time - even before the last change to the listing editor. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't want to. I think it's an Etsy glitch. I don't think they're very high tech. lol
