Hello.
I have strange problem with my shop. It was suspended cause of overdue balance
- after paying off the debt, my shop was restored, but I have a very serious problem with items for sale:
All active items during the suspension were "suspended by Etsy" without any notification (previously when I ran the shop I actually had two items suspended - I received emails from this reason) here I have some error related to my shipping options - when I enter the suspended offer, it shows me the shipping options highlighted in red, but whatever I select, change or anything - I can not restore this offer. When I simply click restore the offer I get an error "we could not restore the offer due to an error in the item's shipping options". The offers that lost validity during the suspension and were not automatically resumed work normally. (37 offers) The rest (134 offers) have an error with this shipping. I found on the internet that a few shops had a similar problem and managed to solve it with you. I will add that these items that are listed as "suspended by Etsy" do not violate the regulations in any way and it seems to me that it is simply a error that occurred during the restoration of the shop.
I will add that I wrote twice to the support - The first time I got the answer that since they were disabled by Etsy, I must have an explanation in the email - I don't have such an email as I mentioned above (Additionally, the first time I received a response along the lines of "Don't write to us anymore about this because we can't do anything about it" that's probably why there was no response to the second opening of the case - which is funny, because the responses are automatic and no one took the matter seriously.). The second time I wrote exactly what I wrote above and I've been waiting for an answer for 5 days (I got an information that technicians will take a look at the problem - I'm still waiting, so I feel like I've been ignored. What could this be about and how can I fix it? I can relist those items, but it will take me a couple of nice hours that I don't have.
https://imgupload.pl/zdjecie/Fkaor Is this looks like a something that is SW, Marvel, DC, Nike or any brand inspired? No, cause it's Australian Spider. Do you need more samples?
As several others have indicated, Fan Art stops being fan art and becomes infringement the minute you make a profit on them. It doesn't matter if you bought them from a third party or not. Although on Etsy, you have to have some hand in making them, or you can't sell them on Etsy. If you just bought them from Seb Miniatures, they have to be over 20 years old, or that is considered reselling, which is not allowed.
If the Seb Miniatures, or your digital cans, were carved to look like any of the Star Wars figures, that is trademark infringement, which you cannot appeal with Etsy. They will not discuss their decision with you, either. If you try to reinstate them, they will likely close your shop permanently. You can appeal copyright infringement, but not trademark infringement.
Have you searched the forum for the other threads you referred to that addresses the shipping error problem? I also sometimes search on Google for Etsy + Whatever My Problem Is and that often finds the information faster than the forum search box.
When you contact Etsy by email, it can take up to 10 days to get a reply. If the first reply is a form letter, reply to that email with the subject line "I Still Need Help." It may take several I Still Need Help replies before a real person actually reads what the problem is and gives an answer that solves your problem.
If you start a totally new email request, they automatically assume your first inquiry was solved, so they mark it closed, and treat your new inquiry as a new problem. They then put your 2nd email at the back of the line of people waiting for help, and you start the whole process over again, with the useless form emails and the up to 10 day wait between replies.
This sounds to me like a problem only Etsy can solve.
Cans what i mentioned before was just shape of normal cans. Nothing with SW or other brands on them, they was just copy 1:1 of normal can, but in 1:72. Chinchilla was figurine made by me. Same spider. For me it's clearly not about copyrights, and i know about them - it's still looks like an error after revive store.
First do realize everyone is trying to help.
Next, I believe Chinchillas are now listed as endangered. So it is quite possible that Etsy's bot picked up on the word & deactivated the listing. The same thing would happen if you innocently used the word "ivory" or "amber" to describe the color of something. The bots do not take word context into consideration. All the bot sees is the word & reacts to that.
As for your spiders, it has been said that Etsy's bots have image recognition. If they do, how well it works is anyone's guess. Maybe your photos just made the listings appear so realistic that Etsy though you were selling live arachnids.
If you have already opened a help ticket on these listings, you will need to be patient with Etsy. If all you receive is a generic reply, respond back that your issue is not resolved. Eventually these problems should get straightened out.
While your waiting on Etsy, handle any TM/CR/IP issues that may exist & have been mentioned here in this thread.
I do, but noone belive me that it's looks like error and have every other signals like typical error.
So, this listing is ok, right?
https://www.etsy.com/listing/830448949/chinchilla-lanigera-stl-file-for-3d
File for 3D print, ok.
Same chinchilla as already printed is not ok? Yeah... Well.. No.
So why this one is visible, and other one not? CAUSE THAT ONE WAS INACTIVE (Offer ends BEFORE i paid debt) IN TIME SHOP WAS SUSPENDED xD That's the only diffirence. And this is why i do this thread, and that's why i think it's error.
@MichaelsHaberdashery - Well maybe Etsy has trained their bots to ignore listings that are for digital files? Nothing being shipped = not having to worry about someone shipping the furs of an endangered animal?
How should I know. All I am trying to do is point out a couple of other "possibilities" on why you might be having issues.
In the end, no one here is going to have the answer - you need to contact Etsy. Be polite & professional and then have the patience of a saint while waiting for a reply.
"Your listings are missing required shipping info that helps calculate estimated delivery dates. Update each listing to activate."
Do you see there something about deactivation by etsy?
Cause i was - when i have that rifle in 1:9 scale and try to change description and get error that "This item was deactivated by etsy, check e-mail bla bla bla..."
So - For me, it's some kind of error. And im pretty sure that if i do copy of my current listing and change photo etc (Same work i do many times when i update my shop) then there will be no problem.
Cause - if will be this, then every item should be suspended/deactivated. Not only that one which was "active" when i pay debt...
Now you know what i mean by "Some kind of error" and i want more information about this case?... Why these be not disabled when my shop was "online"? Why only these which was "active" when shop was offline? Why rest of item's (which was not active) is ok?
Hello, everyone!
While we encourage discussions and debate around themes relevant to Etsy, please note those must comply with our Community Policies.
This thread is, at its core a valuable and noteworthy discussion that our Community can greatly benefit from, so, for the second and final time we ask that everyone keeps it on-topic, while also refraining from any disparaging and/or otherwise off-topic remarks toward fellow members.
Thank you!
There are various ways that lead to items being taken down. As per Etsy policy, bots get programmed to detect certain items and then remove them. Sometimes, they are correct and sometimes there is wiggle room for sellers to appeal. In your case this is what may have happened. The second way is when IP or TM holders file a take down notice. (as you have not received a notice, this would explain why they or most are still up. Each listing needs to be dealt with separately - a long drawn out legal process.) This then becomes a matter between you and said holders. This could happen to you in the future, hence the warnings.
As all the folk responding to your post are just sellers themselves, we can only suggest what might be the reason. You have received good advice on how to contact Etsy.
You saw a notice from Etsy that read - "Your listings are missing required shipping info that helps calculate estimated delivery dates. Update each listing to activate."
Okay, well then read this:
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015588087-How-to-Set-Processing-Times-and-Ship-By-Dates?s...
Or this: https://www.etsy.com/seller-handbook/article/introducing-a-new-streamlined-shipping/1020417808606
The second link includes this: "Seeing all this info upfront also helps buyers feel more confident making a purchase. You’ll need to add these previously optional details when you create or save a listing or shipping profile."
Finally someone See my problem. Unfortunalely this dont working =< i try create new, copy, or delete others options of shipping and still dont work =<
When you pasted the actual line on "deactivation" that popped up, it made it easier.
I can't see what you're doing on each listing. Keep trying to update one listing, there are options within options, if that makes any sense. Also, since you are not in the US & can't use calculated shipping which is what I use, my ability to make further suggestions is limited.
