Sudden 'surge' in views??

I don't know if this is a glitch or not. Generally I get about 1000 views a day or more and today I woke up to 27.8k views. Just over 8000% increase. I've never seen this before. Is it even possible? If so great, lol!!

@RETRORAGEJEWELRY: We know from the stats on our sites that the bots are particularly busy lately - many of them seem to be scrapping bots looking for coupons etc and some are from the legitimate search engines.

@RETRORAGEJEWELRY  I had this exact thing happen to me the last 3 to 4 days in April of 2024. I looked through the forums and a few sellers have brought it up. And I keep hearing the term scraping. Wondering if things smoothed out for you and things are back to normal? My sales dropped while this was happening. Sales are starting to recover now and views today the 1st of May have gone back to normal. Seems very strange. Most of the sales today are repeat customers though, not new folks. I'm stumped and a tad worried. Thanks, Andy

In the past 2 weeks, this has happened twice. Astronomical views with no clue as to what listings were being looked at. So weird.

Can someone help please I do not get many views, is that to do with etsy advertising? Any info will help, I am struggling to understand how etsy works
