Hi all,
I am trying to set up a new shop with digital items. Everything goes fine until the step ‘How you’ll get paid’. I enter my details but nothing happens when I press on the ‘Save and continue’ icon at the end right corner of the page. Changing browsers, clearing cache etc. does not help.
I had 0 issues opening my current shop. What’s up with this, can someone help me?
There is also not much margin of correction on this page as it requires more strict and legal data - which can be only entered as is. Like one’s real name, address etc.
Hope someone has a better insight ino this than me.
Thank you for your time folks!
I'm not sure what the problem could be but here is Etsy's article which might help:
@ZYOZA Did you recheck to make sure all of the info matches your bank details?
@ZYOZA Here's an Etsy article which mentions the Netherlands where you live. See Set Up Your Payment and Billing Details.

Your actual name on the ID and the name on the account have to match exactly. Make sure it is spelled the same both places. Like if one has a middle initial, be sure the other ID does, too, etc.
Thank you folks for chipping in. Ultimately I figured it out, it was indeed a technical error from Etsy. It still remains unresolved as of this moment but I know what it is.
When I enter my name and surname in the Tax Payer ID section - it is all ok. But this info is not being auto filled in the banking details section correctly, there it only shows my first name and not my surname.
So instead of Maria Holland, the banking section kept autofilling only Maria. When I put Maria Holland in the first name box (incorrect, I know), suddenly I was able to ‘Save and Continue’. It is useless because my identity cannot be verified this way.
I closed that account and attempt for now. Will try again this week, hoping the technical error will have resolved itself.
VERY VERY WEIRDLY though, at some point it also filled my nickname and surname in the banking section. A nickname I have never used on this account. Creepy.
This comment helped me as well, thank you!
This glitch has been going on a while now, when you put full name in the first name section then save.
You can now go back to this section and edit, leaving first name and taking away your surname from first name section and enter it in the right section.
It should allow you to save now.
Thanks a lot! I was able to fix it
Final update, to help anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation - just use a desktop guys, that solved my issue. I was using Ipad, Iphone etc. When I switched to a regular schmegular computer, I could save and continue. Hope this helps someone in the future.
