I've been on Etsy since 2019, I submitted the tax form last week until Tuesday morning I received an email that said my shop was put on hold. No sales, no deposits, no listings are active, everything is locked. I had money from my weekend sales that should have been transferred Monday (daily) but they are now holding those funds. If something like this is so important why did I not receive an email prior to putting my account on hold? Yes, I checked my junk folder. I file my business taxes separate from my personal but when I enter in my legal name it won't accept my FEIN number. Why? Now I'm locked out for another 24 hours and loosing sales as I type. Etsy you have got to get out of your cubical and start thinking of the sellers that are supporting you. Shutting down a business without proper notification is unprofessional. Banners on the dashboard are not enough notice for something this significate. An email and then another email would be more considerate for those businesses that are running on fumes to catch up from two hurricanes effecting our production time.

Thank you I did! How did you find that option I have been all through the site looking for a way to get in touch with them? Even the chat feature is turned off.

Well, they couldn't help me over the phone so now I have to wait for any email. They even put me on hold for an hour. The seller is not priority to them.

Your shop shows none of the badges for star seller, so perhaps that is the issue? Had you been shipping orders late? Do you have cases against your shop?

No I have all three stars. Which is a joke cause Etsy doesn’t even respond in 24 hours.

does the etsy banner say you are on hold because of the missing tax info
if so, put your ssn in additional taxpayer ID
or are you on hold for another reasons, such as shipping late, or having mockups as first photos in handmade listings
