Strange huge spike in Visits last 4 days - conversion rate negatively affected

I've had a bizarre huge spike in Visit stats the last 4 days - I usually average 80-100 this time of year, but the last few days it's been well over 1000 each day (view stats are almost the same as visit stats which is also odd). I am sure it's some kind of glitch or bot, but my concern is that it is negatively affecting my conversion rate, and thus the quality of my listings. I've searched but haven't noticed any other recent reports. Does this sort of thing resolve itself, and will it cause issues for my conversion rate and sales down the road?

@NiagaraGlassMosaics: You are not alone in this https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Bots-again-2366-views-since-midnight/m-p/140684610  There have been mixed reports as to whether or not Etsy is adjusting stats for bot visits - and of course we don't know if Etsy is using the same numbers they display to us for their internal calculations.

When I've seen extremely unusual spikes in visits and/or views it's usually bots and hours or a day later I see it adjusted to something more normal.

But I have seen spikes that I believe are due to someone with some followers sharing something of mine on social media. Looking at traffic sources in your statistics is another piece of information that might help you figure this out.

In general I like seeing traffic and in general more traffice correlates with more sales. I tend to not pay as much attention to conversion rate - maybe I should. You've given me something to think about.

Happened to me too.  Middle of the night, I got 1600 views.  Yeah, right.  Bots for sure.  The views were on sold items too.

I'm talking about VISITS, not views.

For the last few days I have been getting large number of middle of the night views. Worried are they scraping our listings. Every thing I listed or sold that day has 5 views. The next day everything I listed or sold that day 4 views. And like the first poster it is killing my conversion rate.
