I had a customer reach out after placing an order asking if she ordered more than 1 item. She was really concerned as it was showing multiple separate orders for the same item! In my end she had only purchased one item. She sent me a screen shot of this, but
I ALSO noticed an odd thing that I’ve never seen before. Under the price, is a sentence that says, “This item was part of a $118.27 purchase from multiple shops”.
Has anyone had either of these things happen to them or a customer?
Did she buy her entire cart by accident? She needs to check her purchases. It could be one thing from you but several other items. It happens often.
@hopeandjoystudios
That would make sense about her ordering all the items in her cart! I didn’t even even think of that, actually.
However, the screen shot she sent shows that she purchased 2 of the same item from me, but she actually didn’t on my end.
She had multiple items in her cart from multiple vendors. She thought she was just ordering your item, but ordered the others as well. She'll have to contact those other shops and ask to cancel those sales if she doesn't want them. There is nothing you can do, except for your item, because you don't have access to the others.
Yes, that's a combined cart message. I had a Buyer once ask why the shipping was so high when they checked out, and sent a screen-shot of their combined cart. I guess it's easy to do that by mistake, sometimes.
I've also gotten the "why was shipping so high" question, only to find that they had purchased from multiple shops.
She clicked the black button ''Proceed to Checkout'' instead of ''Check out from only this shop''. It does happen (believe me!). Explain to her how to contact each seller so they can cancel.
Yeah, I did it once myself lol
@artbyjocelyn Once for me, too. About 2 weeks after the cart layout was changed and others were saying how easy it is now to accidentally buy everything in your cart. I scoffed and swore it would never happen to me.
It is really strange that it shows multiple items purchased from your shop on her receipt, but you show only one item in your orders. Was she actually charged for multiple items from your shop? As for the multiple shops note, I have gotten that when I've purchased items from multiple shops at the same time, so that part is not as strange.
It is very strange!
I am waiting to hear from her if she was actually charged for both.
I have a customer saying the same thing. It looks like two identical orders from my shop, and is part of a larger multishop order.
Yes!! This is exactly what has happened. I can’t figure out why there are 2 purchases from my shop, yet in reality there is only one.
