I'm getting a bizarre 403 error this morning on random listings- some of my own, some from other shops. I tried 3 different devices, all using Chrome, and encountered the issue intermittently in all 3 places. Clearing cache did not help. When I click a listing, sometimes I get a 403 error page with the url "princess.etsy.com/listing/....". If I go back and click the listings again the issue sometimes goes away but not always. I've never seen or heard of princess.etsy.com, very strange! Anyone else seeing this?
Here is the full url I'm seeing on one of my listings:
https://princess.etsy.com/listing/1650192624/black-tourmaline-choker-necklace-gothic?click_key=ffc28815d33e877eb35707d2a2eaf5d0cd603755%3A1650192624&click_sum=eebb0190&ga_search_query=black&ref=shop_items_search_4&pro=1&sts=1
Etsy just sent out another update: The problem has been identified. They are still working on it.
I'm receiving a 403 Forbidden error on all my listings.
Same here but one seller said it's affecting Twitter, too.
Yes, same thing happening to me. Giving me the option to translate Danish or English.
I thought this problem was only happening to me and I was incredibly scared. I am having the same problem.
Seems to be working now but I had same issue. So WHY would there be 'princess' in these links? Are you going to tell us and is it a security risk?
yep! Happening to me too. Hopefully it's fixed soon
I am getting the same problem. It also states ' translate from Danish to English " on the browser
@NancyQstudio Did Etsy mention what caused it?. Was it a security breach?
@SereneGarlands I'm just receiving Etsy site updates. All they've said is a fix has been implemented and it's being monitored. I doubt they'd share something like that on these types of public emails.
Hello all, this issue has now been resolved. Thank you for your patience while our teams worked to resolve it.
We can confirm that there was no impact on account security or buyers’ ability to view, visit, or check out from shops during this time.
We’re closing this thread now.
