Stats are out of control wrong

For the past three weeks my visits have shown 3X-5X the normal traffic for my shop. It makes no sense because it says that it's coming from social media, and I don't promote my Etsy shop on social media, and there's no correlating traffic showing up in my Google analytics, probably because it's bots and Google is filtering that out but Etsy isn't. I contacted support and they said that it's bot traffic that Etsy filters out, but it's not being filtered out, and it's making my stats totally unusable. The rep said they would elevate it to the "team", but I haven't heard anything, and today it's up to 5X the normal traffic already and the day isn't over yet.

Does YouTube count as social media and maybe didn’t before? Are your spikes on the days of your videos?  Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday? (Not a stalker, I’m a member of your FB group )

No, it's not that, it's just totally out of control high every day. It's bizarre.

I'm not seeing it as frequently as you are but I do see it on my shop as well and wondered the same thing (if it were bots or not)

I'm having an increased frequency of bot spikes as well. It tanks conversion so it's quite concerning to me that the bot views aren't being filtered out. It's frustrating as I'm working to rehab my shop and I really need accurate stats to make decisions.

My entire weekend has been like that, 10x the normal, it's absolutely nuts.

It started on Friday afternoon and as of this moment appears to have slowed down a bit.

Gosh, for a minute there I thought I had become famous...

And, of course, not a single sale from all those "visits and views".

Mine did that last week, tech had me screenshot the google analytics, and we went back and forth and then as usually useless. And then told me it was Google.  When the traffic was showing on Etsy's site.  And it doesn't say where it is going from or anything else useful. 

Also, no sales from any of that traffic.

Something is definitely going on the tech side.
