I had a purchase this month to someone who lived a mile from me and messaged me to hand deliver. I marked it as delivered but was unable to provide the tracking information so my on time shipping score dropped.
This is one of the many issues with the SSP. Please continue to provide the best products and service to your customers and stop stressing over that pissy little purple star. It gives you nothing extra.
