Hello.
Star seller data is incorrect and shows up that I did not reply to 6 messages out of 108 and I lost my star seller badge. Yet I got 112 messages and did not reply to 6 and etsy doesn't show any messages after 28th of November. As far as I know, November 29th and 30th is still part of November, unless etsy changed the global standard and we only get 28 days in November now?
Etsy always cuts off the Star Seller metrics a few days before the end of the month.
Well it clearly states:
Data based on last review period: September 1–November 30, 2024
So I guess they're lying and break their own rules?
It also clearly states:
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403058372503-How-to-Become-a-Star-Seller?segment=selling
How to Become a Star Seller -> How to track your progress toward becoming a Star Seller -> Message response rate
"Messages sent on the last two days of the 3-month review period may be excluded from the current review period and counted towards the next period instead. This is to allow Sellers a full 24 hours to respond and not be penalized for messages received late on the final day of the review period"
To make sure you don't miss any messages in the future, you should familiarize yourself with all the options offered by Etsy and use them to meet the criteria of one of the easiest Star Seller metrics.
*1 + 2: How to use auto-replies and saved replies
@ATDesignStudio: "Yet I got 112 messages ..." And all 112 were the FIRST Message of a new incoming thread? That is all that counts for Star Seller. Keep in mind that a new Message thread is not included in stats until after the 24 hour reply window has closed regardless of when you answered https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403058372503-How-to-Become-a-Star-Seller?segment=selling Also all Star Seller stats are in UTC not your time zone.
Etsy's service standard is to allow 48 hours to reply to a message
so the data will not be fully available for them until 48 hours after the message,
so any messages received after midnight on 28th Nov UTC, all data will not be available until the 1st - so that's when they are counted.
You will have messages counted from 30th and 31st September
Etsy isn't lying, but what they consider data, is fully complete data up to the timeframe allowed, so they count everyone equally, at the same time.
what you consider data, is when you reply, which would be a rolling 48 hours, and would not be a consistent timeline across everyone
