Hi there,
We use Royal Mail click and drop to do our postage. We always use international tracked delivery. One of our recent sales has been despatched through Royal Mail but is not recognised on Etsy as tracked, despite having a working tracking number and showing 'in transit' status at the moment. Because of this our Star Seller rating has dropped. I can't find a way to manually add the tracking number.
Please help.
Hello there,
We should now be processing any tracking or delivery events that Royal Mail sends us, and our dispatch notifications will contain a link to Royal Mail's own tracking website whenever tracking is available. If there are issues transmitting events that you see appear on Royal Mail's tracking website, there's likely an error in entering the tracking number. Please check the carrier and the tracking number match. If the carrier and tracking numbers do not match, this will count as an invalid tracking number. You can also check our help center article explaining how to add or edit a tracking number.
Please also remember that it may take about 24 hours after an order has been shipped for the On-time shipping metric to update.
Thank you very much!
Hello @MugginsUK,
We've double-checked the orders that has affected your Star Seller, and it appears that they were shipped late. Please know that for orders above £10 and above, even if you add a tracking number on the order, they should still be shipped on or before the stated ship-by-date for them to count positively towards your Star Seller.
As a seller from the United Kingdom, the Tracking/label date in your On-Time shipping & Tracking CSV will automatically be blank regardless if you add a tracking or not for orders below £10. Please remember that tracking number are only required for orders £10 and above.
On the other hand, prior to posting in a thread in the Forums, we ask that you please check if you are not bumping an old thread that hasn't seen any activity in a few months (or years, even). If that is the case, and you still would like to share your thoughts and get the conversation going - whether about this or similar topics, we ask that you start your own thread instead of bumping an old one.

@IcebergGlassLochNess - Etsy not recognizing Royal Mail tracking is an ongoing problem. Shop owners in other countries also have issue with their shipping.
I can't think of any way to get Etsy's tracking to update. Once the order marked complete & the tracking number added, it is up to Etsy & the company they use (Aftership) to connect with Royal Mail and update. This is apparently not possible.
You could contact Etsy once the package is delivered and request they update, however, I don't know if it would do any good. Their seller customer service is back-logged. The notice on the star seller page states they cannot manually change stats.
Hopefully, if the badge ever does mean anything in search, Etsy will figure out a way to have all popular/main carriers tracking connected with their system.
In the meantime if your buyers are confused with Etsy's tracking, you could consider sending them a message advising them to use Royal Mail's website to tracking their package.
Note, here in the US I can use USPS and track a package from the start of its journey, the date of mailing, the airport sent to, etc.
Etsy uses aftership, which has problems tracking Royal mail
It's rubbish, but it is what it is. - I'd log a call, and keep replying till they do something
Amazon tracks fine with Royal mail - so Etsy needs to up it's game, and work something else out - but I'm not holding my breath
.....
I did find this out, not sure if you did this, it would work, if you had a royal mail account you integrated with etsy, and aftership ......
As of now Royal Mail accounts have to be integrated individually for each user directly from the respective aftership accounts. You will have to manually create an aftership account and then connect your Royal Mail account to this aftership account and enable the tracking for Royal Mail.
You can then integrate this personal aftership account connected with Royal Mail to have your Royal Mail packages tracked.
Gah this is not good for U.K. sellers especially as RM is how many post. One of my orders was sent with tracking but isn’t being shown at all on the star seller dashboard. I’ve got another order due to go out so I’m guessing I won’t get it allocated again

Nope. Etsy still not recognising Royal Mail tracking. All my Royal Mail tracked items are listed as having no tracking. And even items that are show as delivered on the Royal Mail website (using the link on Etsy) are still listed as having no tracking. And before you say it. There is nothing wrong with the tracking number.
