My star seller is shopping that I didn't add tracking for 7 packages, but ALL of those packages have tracking that was added at the time of completing the order. All of those packages were sent out the same day. Why am I going to lose my star seller badge even though I did what I was supposed to and on time? How can this be fixed?
Hello @SimplySandyDesigns,
We've double-checked your Star Seller and we can confirm that they are now at 100%. Please know that it may take about 24 hours after an order has been shipped for the On-Time shipping metric to update.
Thank you very much!
Hello @MichelesBlessedHands,
Please know that it may take about 24 hours after the tracking number has been added/edited for the On-Time shipping score to update.
Also, we suggest using the Forums' Search function prior to posting (just be careful to not bump an old thread that hasn't seen any activity in the last months/years), as questions regarding the Star Seller Program have been extensively covered by our fellow members since its launch, as well as our official Star Seller Guide, which contains in-depth answers to some of the more common questions regarding Message Response Rate, Shipping, Local Pick-Up, Digital Orders, and other topics. You can check it out here:etsy.com/starseller.
Having said that, and since this thread does not pertain to a technical issue, it will be closed to prevent it from going off-topic.

Hello @GoodThingsVintage,
We've double-checked the order that is affecting your Star Seller and it appears that you've marked it as local pickup and didn't add a valid tracking number. Currently, tracking metrics don’t account for local pickup, shipping without tracking if not in a market with an exception, or in person delivery. Please note that all physical orders must include a valid tracking number or a shipping label purchased on Etsy to be counted positively towards your on time shipping & tracking. All shipping labels purchased on Etsy will count positively towards your score, even if they don't come with tracking
We know that local pick up is important to Sellers like yourself, and we’re currently working on an option for sellers to tag the order as a pickup that will count positively towards Star Seller moving forward. Seller feedback has been critical to this work, and we're so appreciative of your feedback. We’ll be sure to let you know once this improvement is ready.
In the meantime, please know that Etsy understands that Star Seller may not be viable for every shop. Star Seller is not a disciplinary program and sellers will not be penalized for low scores. Additionally, having the badge doesn't give sellers an edge over other sellers in search ranking.

Where did you buy the label? Some third party shippers do not connect well to Etsy. If Etsy can't see the detail behind the tracking number, they can't verify that it was actually shipped, so they don't count it as tracked.
@SimplySandyDesigns: Are you basing this on the appropriate CSV file? How long ago did you ship? Have the packages been scanned? If the shipper is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. What shipment status does the actual order show?
Are you using Etsy labels?
Was this just in the last few days? There is another thread about issues with tracking not being acknowledged correctly, which began on Sep 22:
My orders with this issue are now showing tracking correctly on USPS's website, but they still say pre-transit in Etsy, even though some have now been delivered. I've been dinged for them in the star seller metric too, I'm not sure if the data in Etsy will update or not.
I’ve got the same issue ones been pre-transit since August …all conveniently on reserve until tracking can be verified ……and my ratings been affected !!!
I’m hVing the same problems and my seller rating has been affected. I’ve added tracking, put courier and collection date apparently the company tracking is accepted by Etsy…..they are all showing pre-transit, one is from the 22nd of August ….still saying pre-transit now, received notifications of delivery from courier and had feedback off buyer yet it’s still apparently pretransit along with several other higher value items now placed in a reserve for 45 days yet they’re delivered !!!!! Not only that but Etsy support aren’t bothering to answer my query either
We also have some packages that show both "Pre Transit" and the tracking information on the actual order. There were some periods in the past few days when the USPS database was unavailable and presumably AfterShip tried to verify and update tracking during during those periods. If they and Etsy are correctly set up they should pick up the correct status at some point.
I shouldn’thave to wait over a month to get my tracking updated when it’s been on the order all along, I shouldn’tbe penalised for Etsy not updatingthe tracking and have my seller ratings reduced because of it, neither should I have to wait 45 days for my money when it’s clearly been received because of feedbackand reviews aswell as tracking. Nice little earner though the interest on everyone’s reserved funds
@BagmakerSupply, yes, "...they should pick up the correct status at some point" - the USPS tracking does self correct, but not the shipping status within Etsy or the dings to the star seller metric.
I had a (long and frustrating) chat this morning with support about the 5 orders I've had over the past few days affected by this. She did manually update those that have already been delivered from 'pre-transit' to 'delivered' (she said this is so buyers can now leave reviews, something I didn't really care about anyway, and wasn't really asking for). But that's all she could do.
When I told her that this doesn't resolve the underlying problem (I was suggesting that Etsy should re-run calculations to self-correct shipping status, when verifiable errors with their tracking interface occurs), she told me that I should post about the problem in the forums. What? I told her there were already several threads on this, and unless Etsy technical staff actually start participating in the forums, this is not an acceptable way to resolve or escalate a problem. So my conclusion - to all affected, don't expect help with this, and just hope that it doesn't continue on Monday.
I can’t see them doing anything tbh….I myself have waited 4 days for some sort of response from support ….I finally got one this evening. The usual spiel of terms and conditions and if none of those resolve it to reply keeping the issue current. Still not resolved or even tried to do mine manually. This is so unfair as the longer this takes the longer my shipping rating is low meaning I won’t get star seller this month plus they’re keeping my money until the items are marked “in transit” It’s a very convenient situation for Etsy to gain interest on all its members funds and earn a little interest in the meantime. You’d think they’d have enough to be able to update their tracking to a true, accurate system. They just pass the book and avoid the issue so I think we will all be waiting a while
Reply back to it with I still need help, with your issue again.

I made a mistake adding my tracking number and the order was showing not shipped. I fixed the mistake and added the correct tracking number. I his is my proof my order was mailed on time. I contacted Etsy this was on the third day and informed them of my mistake. I gave them the tracking delivery receipts which showed I mailed on time. I was transferred to over three live agents and no one could help me. I asked for a supervisor and was told that they could not help. I have been working hard for my Star Badge just to lose it. Etsy makes it hard to get it back because it’s still going to show that it was shipped late. I feel that this is unfair and I couldn’t get any help. I have decided that I might just find another website. You can do everything else but can’t fix a simple problem. I even stayed after the price increases.
Update:
My Star seller status was updated and fixed.

Yes I’m finding the system extremely annoying in some cases having to wait 45 days for my payments even though they are delivered and feedback given it’s very frustrating especially when you’re paying the postage until the funds are transferred
All my shipping is done through Etsy and in time. I now have a 92% and I have to idea how to see why, or how to fix it.
On the star seller stats page click the CSV link for the shipping metric. It will allow you to download a list that will show you exactly which orders were marked down for SS and why. The shipping metric is not just about tracking, it also takes into account on time shipping and you may have had one order where you didn't specify a ships by time. If there is no ships by present, the system can't tell if you shipped on time so it decides you didn't.

Hello,
I just had 7 items picked up and saved and refunded my customer $290.68 in express shipping fees!
Good for the customer but bad for me because pickups have no tracking number at the moment so looks like I will not be a star seller next month!!!!
I had no idea this would be an issue. ETSY, PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
I'm in the NYC metro area and pickups and Uber is popular.
