I’m really disappointed with Etsy support for not helping to adjust my updated star seller progress. I have always been 100% on shipping times and now it dropped drastically due to the Labor Day weekend. The order came In Sunday morning, Monday was a no-mail holiday. My processing times are 1-2 days. It was mailed within two mail days and Etsy says it was late. I just had a chat with support and they insist they are correct. I’m really not understanding the logic here that a no mail holiday counted as one of my processing days. And I feel Etsy doesn’t even care. What can I do as a further appeal? Ty!
If it says to ship on a specific date that you know you can't ship on (in this case a holiday), it is your responsibility to extend the ship by date in advance.
Etsy have never allowed for public/postal holidays, it’s always been up to the seller to either, adjust their dispatch times in advance, or move out the dispatch date after the order has been received (this must be done before the original dispatch date).
here is where your shipping settings can be updated to reflect no processing on Sunday and Holidays:
Order Processing Schedule https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/me/tools/shipping-profiles?ref=seller-platform-mcnav
You can extend the "ship by" day by clicking the order number, and then "more actions".
The 2nd option is "update ship by", and don't forget to add additional days! You can extend for up to 21 days!
You can only extend one time, and the last possible day to do this, is the day before shipping is due.
Now that you know, this will never happen to you again! : - )
You cannot appeal (and etsy won't adjust SS criteria anyway) because we have tools to avoid the situation you ran afoul of.
This is a worldwide website. They cannot account for all the holidays around the world.
