My star seller responses are only showing 5 and 1 I didn’t respond too as it was a thank you from a purchase I made. My response rate hasn’t updated in over a week even though there were other messages?
Hello @BridgenesCreations,
We double-checked the messages you've received, and we can confirm that all eligible messages have been counted properly. Please remember that only the messages that were initiated by other members(not by you) are counted towards your Star Seller. You can verify this by checking the messages on your shop.
Thank you very much!
The percentages are basic math based on the amount of total messages in the period. If you had around 7 messages total, then it's very reasonable that 1 message (so each message) carries a weight of 14%.
@BridgenesCreations: Star Seller only counts the FIRST message of a NEW INCOMING THREAD. The CSV file available on your Star Seller page can give you details (note that the file and Star Seller stats are in UTC not your local time zone).
"1 I didn’t respond too as it was a thank you from a purchase I made" Probably almost everyone on this forum can sympathize with you but as it says right on your Star Seller page, you need to reply to the FIRST message of a NEW THREAD. It does not matter who sent it, the subject matter, if it is a duplicate or blank or anything else. If it is SPAM then it should be marked as such. Those have always been the rules.
If the unanswered message is not a Help Request, at least for the time being, it appears that marking an unanswered message as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two if the original message was within the current star seller period. Note that subsequent messages from that account may go directly to the SPAM folder.
BagmakerSupply: Were the messages you refer to the first message of a new incoming thread? Also messages are not counted until after the 24 hour reply window has passed.
Hi, yes some have been over a week.
You must reply to all messages or mark as spam.
Yes, I know about that part now. But why hasn’t it added/counted new messages I received and replied too?

Thanks for the fast replies

The one new message is there finally and the score changed from 85% to 86% so went up one point. So basically 14% for the one answer from an Etsy shop I bought from and didn’t reply cost me that much? Can you explain the percentages? Thank you.
