Star seller processing time Etsy bug help!!

Im at a bit of a loss here and hopefully someone can help!

 

During august I had 52 orders that dropped my star seller shipping percentage down from 100% to 92% even though I always ship on time. I downloaded the CSV for my shipping info and it showed these orders had to processing time even though they all did in the listing and in the shipping profile. It was only over a few days span that these all happened. I reached out to the chat and it was escalated to the correct team and I was told its a known bug and they could see that all of these orders did actually have a processing time and its a Etsy glitch. 

this was 20 days ago and the last info I've been given. However now for September I've lost my star seller badge, I have had this badge since I hit my 90 days and take this very seriously. I tried the chat again and they told me they can't help but do know its a know tech issue and hopefully I will get it resolved.

I hope the bug is resolved but how do I go about getting my star seller badge back when chat can't help but says its an Etsy issue and I should not have lost my badge. This has already slowed my sales down, a lot! I've also noticed it looks like this has been happened on and off for years!

Someone please help, im at a loss and don't want to go into the holiday season without my badge since I have 100% shipping & I wouldn't be able to get the badge back until August falls off the review period which would be in December! I did the math and I'd need just under 900 orders to hit the 95% which is impossible without my badge.

Oh boy, sorry about that. Chat acknowledged it's a known Etsy glitch, and will escalate it to the proper team.  Yet you are still waiting for a correction to your SS Metrics.  The only thing I can suggest is to use Email (Community & Help > Contact) in your Seller Dashboard. And see if Etsy Support can help (I would tell them what Chat said to you).  I don't know if they will readjust your SS Metrics though.  But it's worth a shot. If they reply with a generic, non-helpful answer, respond directly to that message, "I still need help". Don't start a new ticked; it will push you back further in line.  

I hope you get this resolved.

Did all the orders say in transit?  Did you ship prior or within your shipping time frame and did USPS then say the items were accepted and in transit.  Aftership should have picked up on the in transit.

Is it a particular item?  Do you use shipping profiles?  I use calculated which works well and seems not to have this issue.   Did you check the profile to see if that slipped or maybe redo the profile?

Contact them back with the same email if you have it and say the problem is still occurring and that it is messing with your customer service.   Don't use chat.  They can't do anything but refer and the remark seems to be a go to explanation which is not a good one.  Chances are unless Etsy gets this happeming to millions of shop owners they aren't going to do anything about it.  Probably low on the list.

@ArtDollsbyJD: The "no processing time" glitch is unrelated to the usual AfterShip pre-transit et al issues. It appears that sometimes an order loses the processing time - in some cases there will be no scheduled to ship by date on the order and you can catch it. In the one case like this we had we were able to reschedule the order. The same listing sold multiple times that day and only one order was affected by the glitch. But in another case the order looked fine but Etsy still said after the fact that there was no processing time and they were unable to (or did nothing) to correct it. The bigger question is why is this even a Star Seller metric when you cannot publish a listing without a processing time.

The issue is that it's saying they didn't have a processing time for the orders. It's multiple items all within about a week span. I use calculated shipping and shipping profiles, all of the profiles and listing each had a processing time. It seems to be a known issue

You are not the only seller that is experiencing issues with this system glitch. I started a thread earlier in the week and have been posting the responses I have been receiving from support. Keep bugging them because they obviously are NOT going to track down the issue until it becomes such a headache for them that they have no choice.

I've been bugging them a lot! They originally just closed my support ticket after saying the engineering team is looking into it. Then I opened a new one and I've tried the chat. I can not believe it has not been fixed yet, there are posts going back to November of 2022 with this issue. Losing my star seller with the holidays coming up due to a Etsy glitch is unacceptable and unethical if you ask me

We are in the same boat as you. Let us know if they give you any updates. We’ve got no help from them whatsoever. It sucks!
