Star seller not appearing anymore

Hello, I was for the first time a star seller for the month of May and I believe that helped to boost some sales ( I sold 7 items ) which is the highest I ever did since I opened Etsy in November 2024.

However I got one review that month that gave me a 4 stars . So I’m not anymore a 5 stars but a 4.9 but on the progressing board it shows that I’m only a 4.5 so because of the glitch I’m not a star seller anymore and when i contacted Etsy rep they say they sent a ticket to the technical team. I didn’t have the chance to say one more word or anything else that they stopped responding. She did absolutely nothing to help the situation. Anyone ever been in this position? Also the views are terribly low not even in the two digit . What is happening?

Etsy has always told us they will not do anything to alter star seller.

If you were a 4.5 average for the months of March/April/May, then that is why you didn't achieve it. I see 2 reviews during that period : 5 + 4 is 9, divided by 2 = 4.5. You didn't make the cut. Etsy's stats are correct

Overall stars are for the last 365 days. Star seller only counts the last 3 months.

so why on my top page I m 4.9. You make absolutely no sense ! 
I was always 5 stars until 1 comment happened

You seem to be confused about 2 different star rating calculations. 

Star Seller is based on a 3 month period of time.

Your average for the previous review period 3 month period of time is 4.5 stars. You need 4.8 to qualify for Star Seller. 

The overall shop star rating is based on the last 365 days. That may be 4.9 stars BUT that only applies to the overall star rating on your shop and NOT for Star Seller. 

This is not new.

It's not a glitch.  Star Seller is quite hard to get but very easy to lose!

Look at the forum in the beginning of each new month and you'll have your answer to that one.

The SS review badge only takes into account reviews received in the Star Seller period.  So for the badges just awarded, that means only reviews received in March, April and May count.  If you had a total of less than 20 reviews in those 3 months, and one or more of those was less than 5 stars, you will likely fall short of the goal.  If you had 7 sales in May and that was your best month ever, that means your total sales for the three month SS period was probably less than 20, in which case that one 4 star review is enough to lose you the badge.
