Star seller messages

I have a problem with messages. Not all messages are included in chat history for this period. It only shows I got 10 messages but I got almost 20 messages. Because of that my star rating is 90% instead higher because I didn't reply on one messages in 24h. Why so many messages don't count?

etsy only counts each new message thread  once, so if you are replying a few times to the same thread, it only counts once

if you download the csv, you will see which ones etsy counts

"current period" is april/may/june-to-date

last period is march/april/may

messages in the last couple of days of the month are rolled over to the next month

I know that. I got messages from different people, so one thread and they are not included in message history.

@LoopsOnlyCrochet  - Are you saying you received 20 new messages, each message from a 'unique username/buyer'?

Or have you received 10 new messages from a 'unique username/buyer'. Whom you responded to. And then those same senders replied to your message?  If this is right, then their replies would not be new messages, they would be linked to the thread they initially started with the first message.

They messaged me and I replied. They are all unique usernames/buyers.

@LoopsOnlyCrochet  - I'm assuming you are looking at the messages you received during April, May & this month, June.

During this period you received 20 messages.
Etsy is saying you only received 10.

I honestly don't know what to say except that it appears you will need to contact Etsy. If you do so, have the patience of a saint & reply to any generic replies that your issue is not resolved.

Do note that Etsy is often reluctant to manually adjust star seller stats even if a glitch caused the error.

A suggestion that we have seen is to be sure to not mention Star Seller when reporting Messaging and shipping tracking issues.

"Why so many messages don't count?" Are you sure that each Message you think should be included is the FIRST Message of a NEW INCOMING thread?

You did not say when your received some of the 'missing' Messages, but generally a new thread is not counted until after the 24 hour reply window has passed and Star Seller stats and the CSV file seem to be updated only once per day.
